this is actually a good strategy by Arum

everyone wants to see Cotto vs Margarito, so lets say Cotto wins by KO or gets an impressive decision then he could make a case that he can beat Pacquiao and if Margarito knocks Cotto out faster or beats him again then Margarito can make the case that the 2 years off really hurt him, the huge cut under his eye and that now he has a big win against an elite opponent coming into a Pacquiao fight!

if Pacquiao knocks Mosley out it proves that Margarito was drained for the fight with Mosley and that's why Mosley knocked Margarito out! interesting! i like it, its better than Pacquiao vs Marquez/Berto/Bradley all these guys get knocked out in 1 round!

Could it have something to do with the fact that Golden boy have promotional stake in Pac's purse why arum is so hard with them? The fact that Pac against a golden boy fighter would make GBP double dipping in the promotional purse, and Arum is trying to prevent that.

Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum has mapped out 2011 for two of his biggest stars, Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto. This past Saturday in Anaheim, California, Arum met with Cotto and his team, and he spoke with Pacquiao's business adviser Michael Koncz. The way Arum has planned it out, Pacquiao would face Shane Mosley on April 16 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The second step is a rematch between Cotto and Antonio Margarito for the month of June. The winner of Cotto-Margarito would become a frontrunner to face Pacquiao in September.
