At the end of the day Many has reached that peak in his career (the same as FMJ did after the Oscar fight) where it is ultimately his decision who he fights. Arum can present a strong case, it's up to Manny whether he wants to listen or not. Usually he does because look at how far Arum has taken him.

I really don't think we need to see any of these 2 fights again. The only way i think it would even be viable is if it's a Cotto rematch at 154, where Cotto is allowed to come in at 154. That's the only way it's viable IMO.

Though arum's actions in the past and now do beg the question.....how hard did this man try to make the FMJ fight......judging from 1st and 2nd rd negotiations, not very hard at all.

Again alot of responsibility rests with Jr too..he could just come out and call out PAC and make some drama but he didnt the guy just left boxing..he said he isnt thinking of boxing and didnt plan to fight PAC or any other fighter

It's pointless to rematch against Cotto or Margarito but either of them would steamroll poor JMM at 147 or beyond. If Pac wants to challenge himself he should really consider facing Martinez. Berto is a protected HBO hypejob and a garbage fighter. He sports a glass chin along with a padded undefeated record so that fight is a clearly joke. Mosley although past prime might make a decent fight out of it with PEDs since Pac won't be asking for testing either.

maybe you have been absent for the last 8 months but hes done that already and all pac did was make excuses for why he couldnt take test then claim he agreed to floyds terms after being signed to a fight just to find out he never agreed

I'll tell you like it is, Jr had no interest in making that fight or any other after he made $40 mil fighting Shane, however Manny and Bob didn't have any interest making the fight back in Jan when it actually mattered. Floyd was willing then. He just doesn't seem to care now. There was no real negotiations the second time. Guys like DiBella have even said this.

Floyd will fight when he's good and ready. The more the media and fans get on his back the more petulant he will become.

These guys were mandatories....Oscar, Baldomir, Gatti were champions of which many expert predicted would have beaten Floyd due their size and recent wins. I could also add that he was pushed in the Baldomir fight because everyone including Brian Kenny claimed he was ducking Baldomir by fighting Judah whom he had pre-contracted with. Also, many of u probably didn't notice that Floyd never had a trainer for the Baldomir fight cuz Roger was serving time.

The difference between Manny and FLoyd is that Floyd tell u before he fights an opponent that the guy is a bum, but ppl insist it's because he's ducking them and that he's a disrespectful loud mouth, so he goes on to prove them wrong. Manny, on the other hand, act like he's fighting all time greats, when in fact they're has been or never will bes. In the end they both fights bums, but Floyd never pretended that he's fighting all time greats.

Good post. People have short term memories. Everyone Pac beat doesn't win a round against Mayweather. Pac is great and it is impressive that he's beating ww's but people need to stop acting like its amazing and unprecedented. Bob Arum is becoming more and more of a joke. Sucks that boxing can't operate like a real sport. Promoters keep throwing up smoke in mirrors at a time when we actually have quality young fighters.

You missing the point....you are being irrational, also, these guys, Manny and Floyd included, aren't animals. They deserved to go on Vacation. Floyd did say he will fight once a year which many boxers do when they reach this level. He(Floyd) has been in boxing his entire life, he can take any amount of time he wants at this stage in his career.
It's not good for the sport? You mean Manny and FLoyd leaving is not good for Fanboys?They're plenty more boxers to carry the sport, so u better start choosing one. He has a wedding plus court cases in January. Maybe, Pac should do the same, as in take a vacation, and stop chasing money while ****ting on his career.

However, what we are talking about is the fact that with team Pac recent antics, i don't see how anyone can blame Floyd. Even some of Manny smarter fans are seeing this, and in an retrospective view, one can easily deduced that Team pac seems to have a formula that they're following. And that is by beating big names at the end of their career and coming off loses. Remember, immediately after Oscar fight, Freddy was very vocal about not being ready for Floyd, then after the Marquez fight, Arum and Freddy, was saying Floyd should fight Mosley because he's ducking Mosley, now after the Mosley fight, Freddy is say that they think they might be able to get Floyd now because his legs seem shot. You ppl need to use your third eye some more.

well i agree that team PAC did make excuses but jr was not even part of no negotiations??? he just left..
