Thought Amir Khan wanted to fight Manny?

A while back Amir said he wanted to fight Manny and Mayweather when he was at his peak and they were on the slide down.

Recently, Roach came out and stated if Khan and Manny ever fought, he would train Manny because "Manny is my guy".

All of a sudden, Amir is now saying he wont fight because Manny is a friend and they are in the same camp.

I dont get it. Is he afraid of Manny? Or is he now soo dependent on Freddy Roach as trainer, he wont find someone else to train him.

It's a little strange.. i mean did he think Roach would coach both of them at the same time for a fight lol

Khan talking of Mayweather or Pac is silly to me right now.. he has to get past Maidana/bradley or Alexander and maybe another top 140/47 pound fighter before that imo.

To be fair to Amir "if the wind blows hard against my chin, i will drop" Khan, he stated that him and pac would never happen soon after his initial comment.

He realised long ago that roach is better for his career with him by his side, wether its now or in the future.

Yeah, I think that is the key to him changing his mind. Though it is annoying when boxers take it upon themselves not to fight each other because they happen to be good friends.

I think he realized that if he pursued making a fight with Pacquiao that Roach wouldnt be his trainer ever again.

I mean, how could he? Not to mention Khan would have to find a new trainer and move to a different gym to train for the Pacquiao fight.

It would be a waste of all he and Roach have built together. Khan is arrogant, but hes smart enough to know that without Roach he couldnt find himself on ***** street again very easily.
