Mijares isn't shot, he just ran into terrible matchups. Mijares is good, but not that good on the outside. Darchinyan and Cermeno are 2 fighters with pretty extensive amateur backgrounds, so they know how to fight on the outside.

If he loses against Rosas, who just wants to pressure and fight on the inside, consider Mijares done as far as top level. I expect Mijares to look rejuvenated and I even have him pegged for the upset.

Jose Navarro had a good amateur background and he did fine against him. Mijares doesn't even fight in the same style anymore. He's a lot more aggressive. Before he'd wait for the fighters to come to him and then throw a flurry and weave in and out. He'd box a lot more.

Darchinyan fought the perfect fight against him, but the shots Mijares took were brutal. Now he's a lot more aggressive.

I thought he just had a problem against good outside fighters, but could still do really good on the inside.
