I hear you, and if he beats Hatton I'm sure there will be excuses as well...people will always find something. I guess you just have to ignore the haters (and I don't think Martin is one).
Thats what most boxing fans do, they find ways to degrade big accomplishments by fighters.
These British idiots card stock their shiet and did not mention OBF best fight. What about that agora phobic ***** Hatton - Magee knockdown that ***** with counter left hooks off the ropes and shook him and 39 years old Philiips was clocking that ***** with severaal early round rights and uppercut that shook that ***** and thhat agoraphobic ***** look like average beating someone ackward like Carlos Vilches. Ya British idots get da phukk outta here. hahahahahaha
Well...if Floyd beat Cotto, people would say Cotto was too green.
No... If Floyd beat Cotto.. (And how Floyd beat Cotto) it would give me a real insight into where we stand with Mayweather and how dominent he could really be!
I know Cotto, I've seen a lot of his fights and I respect him very much. I actually think he's a lot better fighter than people are giving Cotto credit for. (with all the protected talk).
I always thought that the Mayweather vs Gatti match up was a load of crap, and I thought we can learn nothing about Mayweather from this.
Cotto on the other hand is a LIVE opponent... A hungry LIVE opponent!

Don't forget he's turing into another JuyJuy. Martin & Evil are just like JuyJuy with Hatton. This fight is not even gonna happen, so why we need to hear this **** over & over. JuyJuy with Eubank - Martin & Evil with Hatton.
Who the **** Hatton has fought, besides an old Tszyu??? I'm getting sick of your BS man. You always say **** about PBF & overrate Hatton. I will take those 5 guys you've mentioned then any person Hatton fought, besides Tszyu. You have only an old Tszyu to go by. So quit with BS.
You see the thing is Parodius, I dunno if I can be bothered to explain it to you... All I'll say is Hatton fought himself into the mandatory position for the WBO IBF and WBA (+3rd with WBC) before getting his shot at Kostya Tszyu. This is based on who Hatton fought, and more importantly, who these governing bodies told him to fight.
Corley and Bruselles are not ranked in the top 10 with any of the four.

What were Corrales and Castillo? They wern't live opponents for Floyd?

Corley & Gatti is better then any old bum Hatton fought. You only have an old Tszyu to go by with, other then that you have nothing. I can easily see Gatti give Hatton alot of problems.

I'm not trying to degrade other fighters accomplishments. I'm not a Floyd Mayweather hater. I actually love watching Floyd fight because he excellent at it!
I think what it is... Is I'm getting tired of being told how f**kin' amazing Floyd Mayweather is, and how he's SOOOO MUCH better than everyone else when his actual level of competition over the last 3yrs has been extremely poor.
In fact, if you see Parodius's quotes on this thread you'll see what I mean. Everyone says that Hatton has faced Awefull opposition etc etc... But in fact, Hattons opposition since Mayweather has been at 140lbs (3X fights) has actually been A LOT better.
But people just don't see it... Or refuse to acknoledge it... Or most of the time (Parodius), just don't know enough about the current sport and who's hot and who's not. - (I'm not talking about the belt holders, I'm talking about the guy's that hover between 5-20 best in the World).

I do give Mayweather a lot of credit for those two fights... Especially having the courage to get back in the ring with Castillo and rematch him immediatly, to clear up the dodgey decsion stuff in the air surrounding the 1st fight.
But this thread was not about back in 2000'-2001' etc... This thread is about what Floyds done since beating Castillo in the rematch back in 2002'.
And the point I was trying to make was - "Nothing special at all".
PBF KO Corrales in 10 rounds - PBF dominate first 6 rounds with Diego wlike Diego boxed with the ghost. PBF clock him with counters and in 7 PBF knock him down 3 times with 3 counter left hooks and PBF finished him in 10 round dropping him more until diegos' corner stop the fight.
PBF UD vs Castillo - PBF moved up to fight this tough guy. The first one was close so on this 2nd fight PBF controlled from the get go keeping Castillon with jab and his speed and skills, PBF validated the questionable 1st fight fight with accurate punches off the ropes and though the score was close, PBF was a clear winner.
PBF K0 Chavez - 9 round - PBF was drilling one of the better bodypunchers in the division with uppercuts and never slowed down. PBf was never in trouble but Chavez made it tough wit his head on PBF chest and in 9 PBF staggered Chaves in 9 with accuracy.
PBF KO Gatti - We all know with taht some people say Gatti might produce an upset, but PBF taunted Gatti and predicted a mismatch - Boy he was right. He was beating Gatti with scorching combos from the start when Gatti forgot the cardinal rule when boxing- PBF dropped him with left hook. PBF picked him part with Gatti's eye close because Gatti was not landing and punches and PBF was just clocking anytime PBf wanted too.
PBF KO Hernandez 8 - Hernandez was unbeaten in 130 pounds when PBF speed and reflexes ripped Hernandez throughout the fight. PBF was the stronger fighter and with all sort of combos hitting and landing, Hernandez quit on his stool.
