As a hardcore boxing fan, don't you kind of want Mayweather to beat Pacquiao?

I don't think Judah dropped him. I still think Judah stepped on his foot as he landed his punch, and Bayless rightfully waived it off as a slip.
Even if that was legitimate though, touching down with your glove does not equal getting dropped. Pac has been on his back a bunch.
Technically, it's a knockdown and they'd give a 10-8 round to the guy whose caused the other guy's glove to touch the canvas.
Pac takes a great shot. You are acting like he's chinny when you know yourself he isn't.
I mean you had to go back 11 years earlier in this thread.Comment

Both those were great trilogies. Still waiting for the final installment of Pac/Marquez (I can dream)Comment

Hear me out here.
I've been wrestling with who'd I'd like to see win this fight for months. I don't really like watching Floyd fight, so my instincts say I should be rooting for Pacquiao, whom I enjoy watching. But another part of me wants Mayweather to win, just to spite all the haters in the media and fly-by-night boxing fans that arrived once Manny beat DLH.
Seriously, wouldn't it just be so sweet? Boxingscene's member count would probably decrease by 25-50% overnight. And I'm not saying Floyd doesnt have a lot of ****** fans too, but the way Pacman has blown up in the American media... Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel, Nike commercials, ect ect while still being a lesser draw than Floyd is amazing.
I was looking at Floyd's facebook last night, and every photo has comments to the effect of:
"hahaha look a like a monkey hahahah black skin black heads all black"
"is that a monkey?..oh i'm sorry its floyd!"
"MONGOLOID NA BLACK HAHAHAH"
"***!!! put your money where your mouth is ***!"
"*****s like gayweather n0t bcoz of his boring performance. they like gayweather bcoz of his talk ****.. "
"Mayweather SUCKS **** its all about PACQIAO"
"*****tot"
"negger!"
No other athlete, aside from Lebron James, has so many haters coming on his facebook just to span his page with racist/hateful stuff.
After his arrest, after that infamous internet video, after all the **** he has talked, wouldn't it just break everyones hearts for him to lopsidedly beat Pacquiao??
I have to admit, I would love that ****.
But then again, it's the casual fans that bother me and the idiotic media crap that Floyd gets. I don't see how people let Mayweather get under their skin, he plays the villain role so effectively that people think he's as arrogant as he seems. I'm sure there's some truth to that and that Mayweather is no saint, but looking at the whole picture as if "Pacquiao is a saint among humans, and Floyd is an ugly baboon with no compassion" is idiotic.
I'm glad boxing's getting attention with Pacquiao, but I can't stand the usual mantra that the usual person says: "Floyd's scared of Pacquiao."
Bottom line: I'm fine with either fighter winning, I just wanna' see THE fight. It certainly wouldn't hurt me if Mayweather won, though. It'd be a slap in the face to the haters and remind everyone (once again) that Mayweather is THAT good.Comment

What a ****** thread.
It assumes that Floyd is the only true boxer in the universe.
Pacquiao has developed leaps and bounds as a boxer.
If you're a boxing fan Pacquiao has become the face of boxing.
Not Floyd. Wake up to reality.
Just be honest. You just hate Pacquiao.Comment

As a huge fan, not sure hardcore. But i want Manny to win for these reasons:
1) He is constantly active and fighting.
2) Shows up and comers that even if you have early defeats, hard work and perseverance pay off.
3) Legacy doesn't pay bills, but pays in respect.
As a hardcore fan you shouldn't be reading any posts made by fanboys and those posts should be ignored in general.Comment
