  • As a hardcore boxing fan, don't you kind of want Mayweather to beat Pacquiao?

    Hear me out here.

I've been wrestling with who'd I'd like to see win this fight for months. I don't really like watching Floyd fight, so my instincts say I should be rooting for Pacquiao, whom I enjoy watching. But another part of me wants Mayweather to win, just to spite all the haters in the media and fly-by-night boxing fans that arrived once Manny beat DLH.

Seriously, wouldn't it just be so sweet? Boxingscene's member count would probably decrease by 25-50% overnight. And I'm not saying Floyd doesnt have a lot of ****** fans too, but the way Pacman has blown up in the American media... Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel, Nike commercials, ect ect while still being a lesser draw than Floyd is amazing.

I was looking at Floyd's facebook last night, and every photo has comments to the effect of:

"hahaha look a like a monkey hahahah black skin black heads all black"
"is that a monkey?..oh i'm sorry its floyd!"
    "MONGOLOID NA BLACK HAHAHAH"
"***!!! put your money where your mouth is ***!"
"*****s like gayweather n0t bcoz of his boring performance. they like gayweather bcoz of his talk ****.. "
"Mayweather SUCKS **** its all about PACQIAO"
    "*****tot"
    "negger!"

No other athlete, aside from Lebron James, has so many haters coming on his facebook just to span his page with racist/hateful stuff.

After his arrest, after that infamous internet video, after all the **** he has talked, wouldn't it just break everyones hearts for him to lopsidedly beat Pacquiao??

I have to admit, I would love that ****.

There's no doubt in my mind that Floyd will beat Pacman regardless whether I want him to or not.

The answer to that is yes

As a hardcore fan, I would love to see Pac beat Mayweather because I view that as the upset. If these two fought, I would expect Mayweather to win by decision, but if Pac pulls off the upset, I would jizz in my pants on the spot.

Sometimes it feels different to root for the guy that everyone call "nice" by the media, Sometimes you feel a guy like that has a fake persona about them just because the media are involve but having said that this is one fight that i felt the best man comes out with their reputation intact.

No, I wouldn't.. The same as Pac fans, Mayweather fans only came on here after his fight against De La Hoya and they knew nothing about boxing, just the guys persona.

Pacquiao is a far better ambassador for the sport. He fights bigger guys and stays active. Even if you don't like his opposition as of late, you can't deny that he's fought some tough guys and made easy work of them.

If anyone has earned to be the face of boxing it's Pacquiao, unlike Mayweather, Pac stayed in the sport when the going got tough and didn't retire. He's also passionate about the sport, unlike Mayweather, who says he only does it as a job and his heart is no longer in it.

                And as for the haters...

                It really doesn't matter.

Because you know if they ever had the chance to say the things they say about Floyd on his FB, to his face.

                They wouldn't do shit.

I would enjoy it simply because it would crumble an entire country.

I've been thinking the same thing, Floyd has his fanboys too, but not on the same level as Manny. To be honest he probably would win anyway, the first 6 rounds would be close, then he'd probably own it, he adjusts so well. He must realise he has to fight Pacquiao anyway, their names are permantly linked, he will be 'the guy who ducked Pacquiao', 'the guy who was Pacquiao's biggest win', or 'the guy who beat a prime Pacquiao'.

Back on topic, it would be nice to stop seeing any boxing articles being clogged up with 'gayweather' type comments.
