are cotto fans scared of a margarito rematch?

COTTO must win if they ever fight again to prove that the 1st lose might be of margo with plaster. but if ever cotto lose again, it would be a salt robbed to the wound (adding insult to injury). margo also must win in order to legitimise the first win and erase the doubt (even if he was really with that hollow blocks on the first fight). must be a warrrrrrrr.........

It is Margarito that has something to prove. If Cotto beat him it more or less confirms hes been a cheating scumbag for way longer than has been proven.

If Cotto loses, well, hes supposed to lose... If Margarito was not cheating back then.

I'm a fan of Cotto and I think this fight is perfect for Miguel. It will help clear up any lingering doubt whether Margo cheated or not. I believe he did cheat when the two first met. This will be good for Cotto to actually set the record straight and get some revenge for that beating he took.

serious question, I don't hate either guy but do cotto fans want the rematch, are they worried margarito did not cheat and will get a tko win again? If I was a cotto fan, I would be demanding a margarito rematch to set the record straight IF I FELT HE CHEATED. If I felt margo did not cheat, I would stay quiet about this fight and make excuses not to have it.....like what is happening now

I dont see the Cotto fans "not wanting this fight". I see them rooting him on in this site. Some saying it will be a win others saying that Cotto is on the downside of his career and now it will be more competitive, others saying it will be easy win because Cheato will not have Plaster.

Either way Im a Cotto fan too and see this fight as a Psychological fight, whoever is stronger in mind wins.

I do feel Cheato should have been more strongly punished but like one of the posters said, Pac and Arum saved Tony from the depths of boxing purgatory basement. So now its on.

That's what happens when one speaks emotionally. PR's were initially saying AM must've been on roids and then when the plaster issue surfaced they said he must've used it ve Cotto---this made them feel better---***BUT*** what should've dawned on them was that their might be a rematch that will result in the very public force-feeding of their words which will make them feel far wose than just a normal loss. I DEMAND A REMATCH!!!

I would like to see adversity with martinez before I see Cotto in there with margarito again. We all know what Cotto Margarito will look like , it just depends on how conditioned Cotto is to stick in there and box a 12 rounder. Martinez and Cotto is much more interesting given both guys are boxer punchers, I feel martinez is stronger but Cotto has an all around better offensive. Martinez is also slick.

All I know is that if this fight goes down despite what Margs (or more factualy accurate Capetillo) tried to do vs Mosley, I'll feel bad for Margs. Understand, I stopped being a fan and as a Cotto fan I was split on that cotto/margs match. But even those of you that now hate Margs must admit that no one should ever wish the beat downs that he has received on anyone.

Think about it.

Starting with that cotto fight, skipping forward to Mosley, then Manny and finally and possibly again - Cotto2. I don't know of anyone that has absorbed more brutal punishment over the course of (if cotto 2 happens) 5 consecutive fights. You can't absorb that much punishment, I don't believe, and live a normal symptom-free, healthy life. Some of you might say that is Justice but that is not for me to decide

Prior to the beatdowns I would've had Margo winning a 2nd fight on styles. At this point I don't know how much if any boxing life margs has and I would pick Cotto to win because of it
