Those Filipinos that were asked if they knew Donaire don't watch boxing. They only watch Pacquiao. Donaires been around for awhile now.

Looking forward to this fight and Soto's

actually donaire is relatively well known in the Philippines and the Filipino Americans, I am sure he has a lot of support, imho sotto-antillon is a possible barn burner ...

i'll be supporting him tonight. but **** arum and todd if they think that wouldn't help. wtf would you not put him on there when it would explode his stardom. i thought promoters were supposed to look out for their fighters and get them to that point. they put **** undercards when it comes to pac and they just don't want to pay his dues. he needs to dump top rank if he doesn't get on his undercard the next fight.

yea i always wondered why arum never put nonito in a pacquiao undercard, seems pretty dumb not expose him to a untapped fanbase of pacs and then some. but then again they are the echelon of promoters in the business, maybe they don't want to put an exclamation mark on nonito being in pacquiao's shadow by putting him in his undercard. and market donaire a different way than pac to be future ppv star. who knows, might end up being a brilliant move.
that is, if donaire keeps winning with better competition of course.

I agree completely with you, Top Rank has done a complete disservice to Donaire by not featuring Donaire on Pacquiao's undercards. They did it for Viloria while he was coming up. If you remember, Viloria won his first title by first round KO on Pacquiao-Velasquez and enjoyed a big boost in popularity afterwards.
