Why are so many supposed boxing fans, always complaining about Manny Pacquiao. All I keep hearing is the same useless cry babies, crying about the same baseless things:


• Manny will not fight Floyd.
It is painfully obvious to even a blind man that Floyd will not fight Manny. I value the opinion of boxing writer’s historians and analysts who know more about the sport than anyone of us ever will, and they all say Floyd is ducking Manny. (Hauser, Rafeal, Bert Sugar, Lampley, Merchant, Max, Stewart). And 90% of the world agrees.

• Pacman is cherry picking his opponents
Pac has fought anyone and everyone put in front of him. He has cleaned out the division, who is there left to fight. Fine an argument can be made for JMM, but does anyone honestly think JMM will last more than 6 rounds. Berto and Mosley would maybe not even make it 6 rounds. Pac is just that much above the competition. What if he hit JMM with the shot that broke Margarito's eye socket, think about that.

• The newest one - Pac is making his opponents lose on the scale
Everyone he has fought has signed a contract knowing full well what the weight was. Do you think Cotto, or Margarito and especially Oscar signed on the dotted line thinking “hey I’m going to get my A$$ kicked at that weight”. No! Of course not, they all believed they would come out the winner regardless of the weight. These guys are pro fighters who know what they can and cannot do. The weight thing is just a ridiculous argument. Even JMM complaining about getting a catch weight fight, what difference would it make, Pac weighed 144lb for his last fight and was 148 on fight night, JMM was 145 on fight night, even if it is a WW fight neither guy is going to weigh 147 anyways.

We are lucky enough to get something exciting happening in boxing since the days of Tyson. No one ever accused Tyson of fighting bums, he was just that much better than everyone. We got a guy who actually wants to fight, give us exciting fights and give the hardcore and casual fans something to look forward to. He's not like the Floyd's were money rules everything, this guy fights for the fans.

Even if they are catch weight fights, who really cares as long as we are getting fights. What other fighter has done that in the last 15 years? no one has really cared about boxing for 10 years. And the same boxing fans that complain now about Pac, are the ones that were complaining that boxing was dying. Is it really that hard to just appreciate a really great fighter. Why not just live in the moment and enjoy the few fights that he has left. Otherwise why do you even bother being a boxing fan, when your negativity is killing the sport you want to save.

I'd like to know how 151 is in Pacquiaos favor anyways, Margarito was 165 lbs on fight night, Pacquiao was 148.

That's mainly because of hard core young Pacquiao fans that are so blinded by their idol that they can not admit under any circumstance that there are some things Manny has done that can not be respected. That's why there's a lot of knit picking going on and the same can be said for hard core Floyd fans. A lot of these guys defend their fighters no matter what and it makes other boxing fans of theirs look ******. It also cause a lot of us to jump in and comment on the ridiculousness of these defending fans, which gives the impression we are just another ******* or *****. A lot of you need to recognize this is how it is.

Well, there is the issue of Manny refusing Floyds demands. Even if you think they are rediculouse, they are not out of this world and this fight would have already happened because of it. Catchweights are just as rediculouse and desined to give the other fighter an unfair disadvantage by draining himself further than he is used to. But hay, if they agree, its on them.

If its just a regular non title fight, fine, but if its for the title, the fight should be in that weight division for historical purposes. Don't change the sport, they didn't do this in the old days as far as I'm aware.
