Cotto looked good vs an excellent version of Mosley, both guys looked good in that fight. Last time Cotto dominated a good opponent i think you mean. Cotto also looked good in the first 7 rounds vs Margs.

I should've said dominant, I think the outcome of the Margarito fight hurt Cotto's career. I personally would rather watch Cotto fight, than watch the catchweight king vs Mosley

Cotto is better than 90% of the people in his weight class, he's just not elite and to those people who think he's elite, they are OVERRATING him.

Well , to be fair. Pre-Margo Cotto, had earned his right to fight Mayweather. I mean , He beat -Judah , Mosley , and was better than Baldomir. You have to accept that Mayweather just didnt want to face neither him or Margarito. Floyd was scared of facing a hard hitter.

Only hardcore fans know that Mayweather might be a notch or two above Cotto skillwise. But anything can happen in boxing. And Cotto was bigger than Pac at one time. I DONT remember Cotto fans saying bring on Pacquiao until Pacquiao moved up in weight and showed he adjusted well to the wweights.

Pacquiao would have not fought Cotto right off the back , if he had not gone thru Hatton and DLH and built that confidence. So Pacquiao had no business being mentioned in the same sentence as Cotto , as far as ww rankings back then. Now? He is bigger than all WW. Including Floyd IMO. He has just done more.

Cotto is elite. IMO.

Take away Pac and Floyd. And he might go back to 147 and dominate.

I can agree with your post, I am a big Cotto fan and I think he is a great fighter(not atg) but still great, he is a class act,the only thing that keeps him from been ATG in my opinion is his lack of stamina and he gets hit too much,If he could improve those two things I think he would have been ATG,Also Trinidad would have ko him within 8

Also for the people that said he lost to Clottey, I had Cotto winning but wouldnt argue if it was a tie or went the other way because Clottey had some good rounds but he took a break at the end and those are the championship rounds

Clottey - Beat a legit opponent in Clottey with one eye.
Margarito - Won, but used plaster to get the win.
Mosley - Close fight that Cotto won.
Judah - Cotto destoyed him.
Quintana - B class fighter that Cotto destroyed.
Malignaggi - Completely outclassed him.
Torres - C level fighter with pop whom Cotto whooped after being stunned.
Corley - B- level fighter
Bailey - Good fighter
N'dou - Good fighter
Pacquiao - Former flyweight and one of the best fighters in history. Only problem is that he drains fighters.


Not to mention he drained Cotto in order to beat him on the scale.
