The junior middleweight champion of the WBA, Miguel Cotto, has traveled to California with his legal adviser Gaby Peņagaricano, and other members of his team, for a planned meeting with the Top Rank CO Bob Arum. They wll discuss Cotto's planned return in the month of March and the possible options on the table, which include a potential fight with Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez, the middleweight champion of the WBC.

Juanma gives pure excitement on every boubt and Cotto has proven that he will fight anyone regardless of his status on the rankings.

Juanma should get a soft touch to please the crowds in PR and continue to cultivate this fanbase. Cotto... well the kid just doesn't know how to avoid a dangerous fight.... bless his soul! The more risk he takes, the more we get to spew our love/hate on forums such as this one. If Cotto take son Martinez.. no one can doubt the kid can make the extra pounds just with his big balls.

Not the fight I'd like Cotto to take, as I still think Martinez is too big for him, even at 154, but Chavez Jr. is likely to run away for another year and March is probably too soon for a Margarito-rematch.

As for Juanma, who is left for him? After beating Rafael Marquez, Gamboa is the way to go, but this megafight is likely planned for end of 2011 or even 2012.
He already beat Ponce de Leon, Luevano and Concepcion convincingly, Hasegawa and Gonzalez are scheduled against each other at this time, Caballero just lost to Litzau, and for Mikey Garcia it would be too soon. No really exciting names at super bantam, who could step up, either.

The only one I can think of is either a tune-up, which he will most likely get criticised for again, or Elio Rojas, who is an excellent fighter, in my opinion.

I wouldn't mind another fight with Ponce De Leon, he has improved a lot and the first fight ended too quick.
