Plan B? If your assuming Mayweather was plan A, you're assuming wrong. I would like to think that Mayweather was plan A, but the fact that they're rushing to get a fight signed before the first of the year which is when Mayweather gets out of court and in the ring or in jail tells us what is really going on. At least by January we would know and raise the question of "What's next" to Mayweather.

If Mayweather is/was plan A, and Pac really wanted to fight him in May, they would wait until January to sign a fight.

The fact that Mosley is "un-golden" gives it away. Its not hard to put two and two together. He's un-golden, beaten, slow, old and hasn't won a fight since january 2009. This means he is a "PRIME" creditable candidate for Pac.

Whats wrong with this picture? It's not about the money, because Pac fights for the fans and Mayweather is the one who's bashed for fighting for the money. No way is Pac doing this too. That's just cowardly right? I mean if he was really fighting for the money he would wait UNTIL Floyd is out of court (January) and call him out with a signed contract stating that he fully agrees to unlimited, random OST as Pac has said over and over and over and over and over again.... Mayweather's out of the picture for Pac. Mosley was always there #1 pick, its not hard to see why.

Excellent post. And just to piggyback. Wasn't there an article on this very site where Pac stated that he wanted to wait six months before fighting again immediately after the Margarito fight? Funny, they were negotiating the Mosley fight before he even fought Margarito and the Mosley fight is happening in April. Maybe the Filipino months are different. But around here, there aren't six months between Nov and Apr.

Why is it that people neglect to see that, yes... Pacquiao dropped Marquez 4 times during their two fights but, other than Marquez, has there been anyone else in recent years who has made a fight with Pacquiao even mildly competitive? Not just that... how can you compare Shane's style vs Marquez' style? Let's keep in mind that, since Marquez, Pacquiao has not faced ANYONE who has a counter-punching style similar to his and, not to completely crap on his wins (cuz I do think what he has done is, to an extent quite remarkable) but, doesn't anyone see the pattern in opposition? Other than Hatton, who has he fought that he didn't feel the need to weight-drain before they fought him? All in all I believe that, if there's anyone who can talk about being deserving of a fight with Pacquiao is Marquez.

Marquez needs to stop being a stalker and understand that Marquez Katsidis was not the fckin Thrilla in Manilla. Someday let Marquez know that his last fight was overrated. Seriously.
