George Foreman said it himself that Holyfield was a master boxer. Make sure that the Evander that beat Michael Dokes is the one that fights George.

Too much stamina makes the big man fold after 5 rounds. Eveander doesn't have enough engine to take George out, but George doesn't have enough radiator to cool his engine. Evander's defense is too good, and he physical strength to pressure George is surprising.
He was lucky to catch Dokes at the right time. However, it was a great fight.

Evander holyfield is one of the most overrated heavyweights ever . His claim to fame is based on his 3 epic battles with rid**** bowe 2 of which he won and one of which he lost . Rid**** bowe got a gift decision against a shot tony tubbs he never fought anyone or beat anyone . Holyfield greatness is also based on his 2 wins over a ring rusty tyson who had completley aboaboned his peek a boo style he showed no headmovement , combination punching and jabbing and footwork in his fights with holyfield, tyson in that fight was a shadow of the tyson in the eighties , tyson after he lost to holyfield was getting outboxed for five rounds by tomato can francois botha so that just you much tyson was in decline when he got outboxed by holyfield . 70's foreman crushes holyfield in 2 rounds and the tyson of 88 knocks holyfield out in 2 vey onesided rounds .

In the second prime of Foreman he was holding back his punches.

In regards to whether Holyfield could beat a young Foreman, think of this. Holy is much too willing to stand and trade with anyone. He just couldn't do that with a young Foreman. Holy just doesn't have enough power to keep Foreman at bay. He couldn't put down old George with almost 20 straight shots, he sure won't put away a young foreman. A great fight, while it lasts.

As far as which is better, a young George vs an old George. I think the only person who could KO George, is George. Have to go with young George here.

If young George had old George's brain in '73, he would have been champ for 20 years and retired undefeated. Noone would have even come close to challenging him. No Ali, Holmes or Tyson would have touched him.

Holy got hit too much to beat the Foreman that beat Frazier. Holy's jab IMO wasn't really a jab, and George was taller and bigger anyway. George was never that fast, but as a youngster, he was about three times as fast as he ws against Evander. George would have been able to last for quite a few rounds with Evander, because the only time he gassed was when his opponent stood in front of him and did nothing, if Evander punched back, he would have slowed his output. Long story short, Foreman was out of his prime when he fought Holy, and a 71 or 72 Foreman would have KO'd him, IMO.
