Comments Thread For: Arreola vs Abell: "Minnesota Ice" is Confident of Victory

Los Angeles, CA - Not long ago, Cristobal Arreola had won his first 27 pro fights; was ranked as the #1 heavyweight contender in the world; and was arguably the most popular and exciting heavyweight boxer worldwide since Mike Tyson. However, all thoughts of Arreola taking over Tyson's reign dissipated after a hard-fought world title loss to Vitali Klitschko, when the Riverside, California knockout artist ballooned up to 263 pounds for his next fight and has been criticized for his lack of conditioning and desire ever since.

****** article. Questions about Arreola's conditioning were being asked long before Vitali beat him. And what's that comparison to Tyson about? I almost choked on my fried chicken.

what a great date for Aerrola coming off the christmas holidays and new years after eating the whole ham and turkey plus 400 tacos Chris should come in at well over 300lbs. Who advises Chris on weight-Oprah?

Joey Abell should have stepped up against someone with less of a chin than Arreola, perhaps Hasim Rahman, because he really has only one thing about him that's world-class: punching power. And Joey doesn't have a very good chin.

            Arreola will stop him early.

I don't see the point of this fight. Arreola should be fighting another top 25 HW like Tony Thompson.

Isn't Arreola coming off hand surgery? Thats why they choose this fight.

Tony Thompson would box the **** out of Chris Arreola and any manager and/or matchmaker worth half a **** could see that.

You would never see Arreola sharing a ring with Thompson unless a world title shot was on the line, and maybe not even then.
