Cotto's fight wasn't meaningless,he went up in weight & defeated a champion in his rebound fight from being destroyed again!!

        well,

by the TS's logic, margarito already beat cotto, so beating margarito is more impressive than what cotto did

but i give the edge to cotto cause he fought a real legit 154 pounder..at 154 for a legit belt...manny-margo was a circus event

Alphabet Belts are meaningless no matter how you slice it and Margarito had a 17 pound weight advantage so kind makes your whole catchweight theory a moot point.

And what exactly did Cotto do to earn his title shot at Forman? Get his face turned into hamburger?

Ugh how does fighting someone who has the belt differ than fighting for a vacant title? Does the belt posess magical powers that make you faster and stronger??

foreman was just a standing target for who style depends on his footwork and movement he was pretty much a punch bag for cotto. anytime he took a step hes knee gives out and had no power to keep Cotto off so I wont exactly say Cotto defeated Foreman

with that said Its not Cotto fault that he got hurt and Cotto deserved a easy fight in a division he never fought in after the year he had with Pac and Clottey
