The race for the mega manny payday

I still find it disappointing that only after Shane Mosley has shown considerable decline, that Pacquiao's team is hoping to make a fight happen. I can remember just last year, following his 9th round TKO win over Antonio Margarito, Mosley was begging on a weekly basis to fight Pacquiao, even offering to move down to 140 pounds to fight him following Pacquiao's own victory over Ricky Hatton. Back then, I would have favored Mosley to beat Pacquiao, and even Freddie Roach himself admitted that Mosley was too dangerous of a fight at that time. But now, the deteriorating skills of Mosley is like a beacon of light for Team Pacquiao.

What he says about Marquez is more poignant to me. I'm surprised more of the astute heads on here don't see that.

Yes. I don't get why people say that JMM deserves that fight after beating Katsisdis, as good at it was. I honestly, and I have said this before, think that the Pac-JMM ship has sailed.

If he would have favored Mosley over Pac at 140 hes an idiot. The rest of the article makes sense.

If MK could hit Marquez that much...forget it. Marquez needs to stay at 135 and retire there but I don't blame him for trying to get his one last big payday and a shot at revenge. But the ref is going to have to save him the next time he fights Manny. The best fights for the world's best fighter are Martinez, Mayweather, Bradley at 140 and Berto.

Marquez isn't going to stay up when Pacquiao hits him, no chance. Yes he has those counterpunching skills but with this version of Manny and seeing how much leather he took to get counters off on Katsidis, the fight's ending fast.

Slick and Shane in one sentence is an oxymoron.

But, I know you were joking.
