GBP's own arrogance in thinking people will buy into their bull**** is what is causing their downfall. I mean Top Rank was only good to them over the years, co-promoting many lucrative fights with them. Then these ******s have to go and try slander the career and reputation of Top Ranks number one asset? Why alienate the company they can make the most money with? Pure amateurs when it comes to business.

Bobfather is slowly squeezing the life out of them. And they deserve everthing they get. They're practically begging for fights now.

Ironic thing is Oscar came out and said he would love a monolpoly over the sport in an interview some time back. Well he can talk that ****, and dream, Arum is actually doing it!

And it's not even close. Top Rank knows how to build fighters, turn prospects to champions, move them properly. Yeah both of them cheat the public but call me when GBP creates an Oscar De La Hoya...or Floyd Mayweather...or Manny Pacquiao. Victor Ortiz ain't it. Danny Jacobs? Negative

The GBP stars are also aging. Their one true star, Floyd, is really not signed with them. Floyd also has an agreement where he gets most of the income in the fights they promote for him anyway.

Marquez is at the age where he may only have about a year left. Alvarez though may turn into a PPV star if he keeps winning.

Now with Top Rank, they still have quite a few fairly lucrative up and coming fighters. Pacquiao, Cotto are the big stars, but their days are numbered sort of also.

Top Rank seems to be still investing in the future, but GBP does not have too much going on.

They just don't know how to develop fighters. No one on that team seems to be a "boxing guy."

Yeah they are terrible matchmakers for their prospects. I know top rank can seem to drag their fighters along slowly, but there is a method to their madness. GBP seems to give their guys a couple easy fights, then throws them in with the sharks to see if they sink or swim. They usually sink.

                    one word, pacquiao.

if pacquiao, when he took that luggage full of money from ODLH, was held to that ammended contract GBP would be top dog.

                    another word, ortiz.

if ortiz never lost that fight to maidana, homeboy would be so huge that no one would even be reaching for this other clown, alvarez.

alvarez has nothing to do with ortiz.

alvareaz is already a huge money maker. those two have no correlation, except that alvarez will make them more money than ortiz ever would have.

I don't see thousands of people turing out for any american fighter's open workouts.
