Keep crying nacho beristain, Pac beat JMM and katsidis didnt. So nobody cares how much Katsidis hurt JMM.
Did Katsidis win? No! So sit down.

Even when Manny dropped him 3 times in the first round, he never seemed as hurt, they were more like flash knock downs than anything else.
wow come on now!! your gonna tell me those 3 knock downs were just flash knock downs? its funny how some people always try to find excuses to make their fighter look good. the knockdown katsidis deliver to marquez is no different than the 4 knockdowns manny gave marquez.

I do think Marquez was hurt worse then i've seen him against Kat, but it has more to do with his difficult style then him being stronger then Pac.

at this point if a 3rd fight happens i truely believe manny will be able to knock marquez out this time. or a stoppage from the ref or marquez's corner. manny has improve a lot from the last time they fought while marquez is still the same but is a lot older now. so the advantage would be in manny's court now. out of all manny's opponents, marquez probably knows how to deal with manny the best but its been 2 years since so if marquez think manny is still the same manny he fought years ago he's in for a suprise.

Its more emberrasing for Pac he couldnt even finish JMM after 3 knock downs.
The second jmm-pac fight went to the wrong guy just looked at all the punch stats JMM won every category .Settle the score at 140 .......lol..at ARUM wanting this fight at 147 when pac weighed in at 144 for the Margs fight.

I won't doubt that Marquez got hurt more...

              • Marquez is a lot older...and he is getting more susceptible to hits
              • Katsidis is a bulldog, he pressures a lot and really punished Marquez
              • Pacquiao back then is one-dimensional albeit fast

But we also have to consider these:

              • Marquez wanted Pacquiao very badly before he is retired
              • Pacquiao who is heavier, heavier puncher nowadays and faster
              • Pacquiao have the potential to inflict damage or KO

I think it is fair that Katsidis really hurt Marquez and vice versa. Why not? Both were into the Mexican-style of Rock'em-Sock'em-face-to-face mode the whole fight. Sure it was entertaining but to the Floyd Mayweather camp these types are inferior boxing (I concur).

Pacquiao currently is between these Rock-em-Sock-em-style and finesse boxing going in and out while Mayweather (and Ali/Sugar Ray) in the catch-me-if-you-can-but-I-will-get-you-with-superior-angles-and-timing-sweet-science-boxing.

For my fellow Pacquiao fans...don't be "butthurt" please...hehehe. (Sorry for the language) but this could be true. But Pacquiao is leaps and bounds over Marquez (so is Mayweather). It's true that katsidis hurt him more.

But if they fight now (Marquez-Pacquiao III), I have no doubt in my mind that Pacquiao would quickly send Marquez to the canvas, and perhaps permanently for the KO. Both are declining but I see Marquez declining faster than Pacquiao. Marquez can still punch beautifully but he isn't the same warrior he once was...

He's been dropped too many times now. It goes opposite with Pacquiao albeit he is getting beat up also.

All the Mayweathers, Pacquiaos and Marquezs of the world are declining. I can see it.

It's time also for the youngings to come up and take over please. As much as I adore these three great boxers, they are now on their "milking the cow" mode. It is their right and priviledge. They've earned it.

But boxign won't be the same as it once were...

I don't think that's the case...he can beat him fair and square even back then but it is a matter of playing the economic mode for Pacquiao now. Sadly because this is the same mode that I detested from Mayweather.

Imagine back then, a one-dimensional Pacquiao knocking Marquez 4 times....how much more now? So I don't think it is that at all.

Marquez has been turning up the heat in the desperation-mode as he is getting older.

He dealt with it fine. He got up every single time and came back to kick his ass.

Still one dimensional. Maybe 2 dimensional at best, he's just matched up against the right style.

If he fights JMM or Fraud, he'll look one dimensional again. Trust me.

If Marquez is "three-dimensional" then why wouldn't he accomplish the same feats that a "2-dimensional" fighter in Pacquiao in going up the weigh ladder?

I think your criticism is much too harsh that I detect something else is there.

I am a fan of Pacquiao. But so am I with Marquez and Mayweather. But at least I am trying to be truthful without putting them down accordingly.

Marquez in the end would be one of the best fighters in my opinion. So would Pacquiao and Mayweather be.

But all of them are playing cats and mice game. The only thing with Marquez is that he is too-hard-core for many while not getting the right manager to really milk-the-cow. I admired him for that.

But now he is on that same bandwagon with Mayweather and Pacquiao. Pacquiao is good for about 3 to 4 fights more. Marques with just one more big payday with Pacquiao before he rides into the sunset.

                      Mayweather...maybe 1 more.
