I think its more of lets not support this fight because its $60 and will be a glorified sparring session. As a boxing fan Im sure I can catch a stream with foreign fighters that Saturday which is preferable to watching an aged legend get beat up.

That is just what it is. I didn't pay a dime to see Floyd's tuneup against JMM last September and I've been a Floyd fan for a while now.

of course i'll continue to support the sport whenever i can. im a casual fan, thats what we do! we pay to be entertain regardless of whos on the card. but u still havent answer my other question, how can a hardcore boxing fan hate a certain fighter so much? if you're a true boxing fan then u would favor all fighters regardless of who they are. if anyone here is to hate on a certain fighter it should be the casual fans because we dont know any better. your comment just proves that u are not a true boxing fan.

Its true, casual fans just want to be enertained. Most of the time, one big name is enough. How many casual fans really knew about Margarito? In real boxing fans eyes, that wasn't a "favorable matchup". It was pretty much a one sided beatdown and the casual fans loved seeing that fight. Its no different than when Tyson use to fight. Those fans just wanted to see Tyson **** the other dude up.

I did pay for that unfortunately. It was an obvious mismatch, but the risk of JMM suffering the ill effects for the rest of his life were little. Pac would do to Shane what he did to Cotto and Margarito, a sustained beating that is drawn out over the course of the fight. At 40 years old nobody should be subjected to that treatment.
