Amir Khan - Will try to box n move, he cant fight on the inside so hes gotta keep this fight at range and use his jab n hand/foot speed to catch maidana then get out of range again. If khan does this he will win by UD

Marcos Maidana - Will try to rough khan up very early in the fight by trying to land big shots from the first bell, we all know there are question marks over khans chin. He cant allow khan to move frely around the ring, maidana must try tp keep control of the ring and kep the fight at close range. If maidana does this, Maidana wins by KO

Conclusion - Khan by UD

First fight in a while that is a genuinly hard to call, thats what makes it exciting a proper 50/50. I shouldnt of put points on it! Id still think its a Khan UD if he survies the first 5/6 and Maidanas snap starts to fade. The only thing i cant see is maidana decision.

I think Khan is taking him out early, though. I know the guy is one punch away from catastrophy but Maidana is going to wild be wild and get wrecked. Maidana is basic. Very Basic.

Khan wins by countering a shot brought up from Maidana's ankles, hurts him and puts him away.

The only thing I disagree with on Jono's post is that I'm sure Maidana can't take Khan's shots for too long either.

Isn't Maidana a bit overrated because of his win over Ortiz? I don't see anything special about him. I think Khan will win this fight quite easily and it won't go the distance. I see Khan winning by KO inside 6 rounds.

Khan is too fast and has a great jab and should keep him at bay and frustrate him to a UD or late TKO.

This is what I think. Maidana hits hard but Khan could be knocked by far lesser punchers than Maidana but with far more skill - like Bradley. Maidana is the worst of all the big-names at 140, worst is a bad word, let's say least gifted.

It would be a disaster if Khan lost - but there is no need avoiding punchers as basic as Maidana - if you are as fast as Khan.

Khan will be careful, fight behind the jab, move around a lot and hold on the inside.

Maidana will cut the ring off, beat him up to the body and head behind a jab and knock Khan out in the first 6 rounds.

Then people will still claim he's got no skills.


Cuz' no matter what you do, you just can't please some people.
