I don't quite understand why Cotto would consider an April date when the early part of June, around PR Day Parade, has been his niche to draw huge gates in NYC for the last several years dating back to his fight w/ Zab...or possibly even before that. If Miguel fights in March I would hope it's just a tune up for the real cheese cake which is JCC Jr., Plaster of Tijuana or Marivilla in June...preferably right at 54 or no more than 55 cuz I don't think Cotto can sustain a true mw frame without giving up speed and punch resistance. Or just move it up a month and expose JCC Jr. on Cinco de Mayo.

Hopefully for Miguel's sake this is all talk because Martinez would end what's left of Miguel's career.

Wow, would be typical Miguel Cotto to take on literally everyone. But I think Martinez would be too big for him, I'm not sure if I would really give him much chances in that fight. Same with Pacquiao. I'm not claiming to know it better than Emmanuel Steward, if he thinks he could make the difference in a rematch, but I do not see that one turn out very different than their first fight.

As far as I'm concerned, I'd love to see him getting a good win against Chavez Jr in spring 2011 and then a rematch against Margarito later in the year.

Make it happen Miguel, just don't give Manny a catch weight @ 155 if you win.
