miguel cotto in his prime w/ his own jab (hard jab from a converted lefty... knocked clottey down w/ it... past prime then however)

in his prime vitali would drop a huge right hand over almost any jab

but the best way to take away a jab...
use your jab.

so the guys w/ the good jabs we can add to the list as well

my first short list consisted of guys who would counter the jab well

b hop of course--the best i've seen----floyd does also but he counters over it---especially when he was at 130-140---b hop is the best though---

Ken Norton and Tim Witherspoon completely took away the jab.

Mayweather takes away boxers jabs better then anyone. He's so good at it, people thought Oscar stopped throwing it in the second half of the fight, but he actually threw it more in the second half of the fight, just didnt land anything. Mayweather can take away the best punches from his opponents, and he doesnt even need to clinch. Best defensive fighter i've ever seen.
