If weight doesn't matter and is just strategy and 7 pounds doesn't make a difference than why not just fight him at 135? Maybe because weight does matter right? Better yet why not just make 144? Again cuz weight matters lets be real... Why did Pac ask for catch-weights in 2 of his last 3 fights? Why people complaining about it also? Because weight does matter and every pound helps or hurts.

But, you do realize not every fighter body is the same right? Some are capable of moving up and jumping weight-class some are not. That is why some can go to 5 weight-classes while some stay in 1 or 2 weight-classes their whole career.
Every fighter body is different is structured different. You gotta look into all that. is just not as easy as saying this fighter moved up so that fighter should move up to.Last edited by jrosales13; 12-01-2010, 01:45 AM.

They were good at beating small guys at 122 and did ok at 126.
But past that they were pretty much useless.
JMM by a country mile.
it's like saying leonard was no good because he lost to a lesser camacho..
barrera never lost to juarez.. www.boxrec.com, he was pushed to his limit on the first bout but the rematch shows how far superior MAB is..
jmm just got lucky the two superstar were beating each other up on PPV while he was fighting some unknown fighter on someone else's undercard..

I'm starting to really put JMM's underrated resume into context and realize that he is at least tied up with those two guys. I know he didn't beat the same fighters those guys did when they were prime. But beating guys like Katsidis, Diaz, Casa, John, and hanging tough with Pacquiao hold a lot of weight in my book. And I say he beat John because it was a robbery. And John has a bunch of title defenses even if they are not linear title defenses.
The only really great prime fighters that Morales and Barrera beat were themselves really not counting Morales' first fight with Pac. Tapia and Zaragosa were a couple of older smaller guys. And Junior Jones was a flash in the pan. I think beating a prime Katsidis and a prime John shits on those wins. But Barrera and Morales have more balanced out resumes where every fighter they fought was at least good. JMM does have some bums on his record.
