I'd say Cotto has a puncher's chance.
Who thinks Cotto has a chance to beat Martinez??

He's actually very easy to hit. He gets hit more than Williams.
Margarito landed 37% of his punches on him. Pacquiao landed 49% of his power punches on him. Foreman landed 37% of his power punches on Cotto.
Martinez landed 41% of his power punches on Williams in the first fight, and Winky landed 28% of his power punches on Williams. In just the two rounds they fought, Martinez had a 31% in power punches landed, Williams had 38%.
Numbers don't lie, Cotto gets hit more.
They get hit about the same. Williams's defense is from putting his opponent on the defensive, not from actual defensive skill.Comment

Well I never said Cotto wouldnt land a punch for gods sake.
Even if he cuts off the ring, I see him losing in the exchanges by a bigger, faster, more powerful fighter.
The jab will land for Cotto, it always does... It just wont be enough.Comment

Who said he would? I said he "eats pure boxers for breakfast".
Therefore counting him out before the bell even rings is beyond ******.
No where in my post did I say Cotto would win. But posters thinking as if this is in the bag because Martinez is "big" is kidding themselves.
Cotto aint a feather weight.Comment

The only thing is martinez is too big for him, people are forgetting cotto moved up to WW, and nows hes moved up again
But also, cotto is a great fighter, people are forgetting this....The only reason he couldnt keep up with pac is because pac was way 2 fast, and powerful....and the pace pac keeps up the whole fight...
With martinez he would have alot more time to think
I dont think he would win, but i would like to see this fightComment
