I don't think it's that ridiculous at all.

First of all Martinez is too mobile for Cotto's flat footed style to keep up with him.

Couple that with the height, and reach advantage of Martinez.

Couple that with the speed and power advantage of Martinez.

Couple that with southpaw stance, good headmovement, and combinations..

I can't see Cotto keeping Martinez is one place long enough to land enough punches to win a round.

His blazing speed might be overrated, but he's much faster than Cotto.

Any Cotto fan that really thinks he can win this fight is delusional and wants to see Cotto killed, he has neither the size or skill set to win this fight. A one legged man with very little speed and power touched Cotto with ease and took his punches very well considering his condition and the fact that the ref wouldn't allow him to quit or his corner to throw the towel in. Conveniently the hardcore Cotto fans forget this and assume he's on some kinda roll and firing on all cylinders or something...he hasn't looked good in a long time and hasn't had a convincing win in even longer and y'all wanna March him out to fight a guy that to Cotto would essentially be a version of Margarito mixed with Roy Jones, the same guy that beat Williams and was robbed then blasted Pavlik out then went ahead and ended Williams career as the punisher...Cotto has no business whatsoever even entertaining the notion of this fight. Give me Cotto vs Margarito 2 or Cotto Vs Mosley 2 but please don't ruin whats left of him putting him in a lose/lose fight.
