If Berto can get near that chin, its lights out Khan. Slip Khans punches(obviously harder to do than just to say) and get inside close and knock him the f out.

Berto weighed in at 145lbs exactly the other night... He can make 145 comfortably.

DiBella is the one who suggested at catch-weight of 145lbs to possibly fight the winner of either Khan-Maidana or Bradley-Alexander (if they can't get Pac, Mosley or Cotto).

I agree... Maidana has knocked down most of his opponents and has a 90% KO ratio, if he can take a punch from Maidana and not get KO'd then the stick Khan gets about his chin is unwarranted.

If Khan can survive the Maidana fight, even after getting decked, then that would prove that his punch resistance isn't bad, meaning he could probably take shots from Berto too at Welterweight. If that is the case, and Berto can't KO Khan, then Khan wins by UD.

If Khan's chin improves and he develops a bit more muscle and fills out his body (thus gaining more power and better punch resistance), he could become P4P number 1 in the years to come. He already has speed, power, defense, intelligence, size and Roach in his corner.

Berto has looked good against nobodies (Hernandez)

Berto has looked ok against past prime B-level boxers (Quintana)

Berto looked bad against B-level boxers (Collazo)

This post is entirely correct, can't argue with facts.

            .
Khan got knocked down in the amateurs with headgear on, also has been knocked down by lighter punchers in the pros.

i think this would be quite a good fight, not sure who wins, probably khan by UD

i thought khan wanted the winner of the bradley - alexander fight though?

Khan has looked great against nobodies too (Salita, ***an)

Khan has looked good/very good against B-level boxers (Malignaggi, Kotelnik)

If you read my OP, I did state that Berto is over-rated. I'm a big Khan fan, and I want him to beat Berto. I hope he proves me wrong and stops Berto.

In the amateurs he was a kid (16 y.o), at super-featherweight and lightweight. He had no punch resistance at those weights and had the completely wrong style, he was a KO waiting to happen. As a pro, at Lightweight, he was severely weight-drained and naive.

Now he's more mature (physically and mentally), at the right weight so he's not in danger of draining himself, and has Ariza conditioning him. He has also learned from his KO loss and isn't reckless and naive, he's also now disciplined and can box without taking risks and getting hit. He has good movement and good defense, and a great jab.

I think Khan's only in danger if he fight boxers with good power, very good speed and skills.

Khan didn't say he's going to fight Berto. DiBella said fighting Khan in the future is a possibilty. It's just speculation, nothing concrete.

Winner of Maidana-Khan (Khan imo) will fight the winner of Bradley-Alexander (Bradley imo) - Reasons why:

                - There would be a lot of money in the fight for both fighters and would probably be a PPV fight.

                - The public want to see it.

                - It would determine the best 140-pounder.

                - It would unify the WBA, WBO, and possibly WBC (if Alexander beats Bradley) belts and the winner would also claim the Ring Magazine belt (as the number 1 and 2 ranked fighters would be fighting). The winner would therefore become Lineal Champ at 140lbs and would help build their legacies.

                - The winner would definitely become top 6-8 Pound-for-Pound in the world.

                - A rematch clause would probably be included in the contracts, giving the loser a second chance (and another big pay-day).

                - It would potentially set the winner up for a mega fight. E.g. with Pacquiao (unless it's Khan), Mayweather Jr (Especially if it is Khan), or JMM. And other big fights and big paydays, e.g. Berto.

i dont know what your trying to say ... yes most definitely we need to gage where khans chin is. hes faced nothing but nonpunchers since the prescott loss. maidana is a puncher but hes crude, the likelihood of maidana actually chin checking khan is low cause he doesnt have the tools to get it done. and yes without knowing where its at exactly and assuming its at the same level when he was at 135lbs then berto stomps him out theres no question in my mind. cause berto does have the skills speed and reflexes and theres no doubt he will land.

IF khan can take it id probably favor him via UD, but until we kno thats a BIG IF

but that being said khan fighting maidana is a step in the right direction. and i am sure he will win, but hes not going to fight maidana even liek kotelnik did. hes going to fight maidana liek he himself fought kotelnik and i doubt maidana is going to be able to anything about it
