Cotto isn't garbage man.. he's a very good fighter..

He has some flaws, but against most opponents his positives out weigh his negatives...

He isn't good against certain styles though.

Bigger pressure fighters, and elite boxer movers he will have a problem with....

Bad fight. Martinez is too big for Cotto, who might be too small at 154. Cotto gets stopped or knocked out easy.

If Miguel Cotto is garbage, then all those guys you have listed there, that are up and coming are straight up BUMS.

LOL not a big Cotto fan, anywayz it was Ricardo Mayorga who said it, not me lol I know it wouldn't sit well with Cotto fans, but its the truth. He will lose to Sergio.....hopefully. lol

These on my list will be way better than MIguel Cotto to fell short, of TRinidads level. HBO tried telling me, that the torch had been passed to Cotto, but Trinidad and Wilfredo Gomez back Juanma Lopez.

BUt nationality out the way, Miguel Cotto isn't that good, bro. I think Luis Collazo beats him, and Daniel Santos.

Collazo gets ko by Cotto and Daniel Santos is ****ing garbage. You said Cotto fell short of Tito's level but I bet anything Cotto would never get sonned like how Trinidad let Hopkins do him with the Pr flag. And Cotto has way more respect in the Boxing world then Juanma Lopez does.

Hey man, I am not speaking out of hate or distaste for Cotto...

I got love for the fighter..

But this is a stylistic nightmare for him.

This fight, while fun, is so wrong for Cotto. Am I the only one who thinks (from a promotional standpoint) that it is absurd to risk a guy who is still a big draw against Martinez when there is big in house money to be made with either Chavez or Margo? I honestly don't see why people consider this fight to have big PPV potential, you'd have a conceivably shot fighter going against a non draw (imo), who despite being a badass boxer has no fanbase (spectacularly KO'ed another badass non draw).

Again, it's a good fight, but far from the ideal one (especially for Arum).

PS. I honestly have no idea of how big Martinez is in Argentina/latin America, feel free to prove me wrong regarding him not being a big draw.

oh,i agree. As a fan of the sport, i would love this fight. i think its risking too much right now as far as cotto drawing(espfor top rank), so i would like to see cotto-berto more. if i had to bet, id bet it on martinez to win, but the cotto fan in me believes he has a chance lol.

Martinez is very good but Cotto is too. I might put money on Cotto, He's far better than anything Martinez has seen.

(Pavlik - slow hads and feet, not as good technically), (Williams - just a lanky **** who throws loads of punches), (Cintron - fairly good, not Cotto).
