In fairness to Arum, he did reach out to GBP last year as an alternative to May/Pac. Clottey would not have made the lottery jackpot had Marquez dealt with Arum fairly.

I suspect that the 50/50 + OST request came directly from Schaefer as a knee jerk reaction to Arum's initiative. You know, the GBP and Top Rank relations back then was beginning to crumble.

So now Schaefer is dying with guilt why he dealt with Arum the way he did possibly without even asking Marquez's consent.

Marquez vs Pac 3 would outsell margarito vs pac...they have a history it would be a bloody fight, jmm is faster has better defense and is a better counter punches than margarito..but not at 147 I don't agree with that weight.

Arum is a sh** match maker, i bet it's gonna be mosley next.I wouldn't watch mosley vs pac if they pay me.

Arum is so full of **** on this one. It's not Marquez's fault GBP did absolutely nothing to build up the Katsidis fight. But Juan Manuel was in the fight of the year last year, featured on 24/7 and was part of a million buy PPV, then pulled in about 200K buys ON HIS OWN while fighting someone he already KO'ed, then he just put on another great performance, a second consecutive FOTY candidate with Katsidis.

Marquez is easily the most bankable Mexican fighter out there right now and due to his history of great battles w/ Manny, it would be easy to sell this fight. Pacquiao-Marquez III would do 1 mil buys comfortably, so I don't know what the **** Bob is talking about.

For whatever reason he has his heart set on a bull**** fight with Mosley. Ridiculous

He couldn't even give away tickets to his fight with Mayorga in 08. Tito, Vargas, De la Hoya and Spinks all sold out against Mayorga.

Marquez lacks marketability? What the fuck are you talking about Bob? Marquez's history with Pac is the sizzle. Pac could sell a 750K-1M PPV buys with a bum off the street. Marquez is more popular among the Mexican fanbase than Margarito and Pac/Margarito did 1.15M PPV buys and counting.

The casual fans now know that when Pac fights he brings excitement and with Marquez it will be doubled being that Marquez has been in the fight of the year the past two years.

I wish Pac was smart enough to leave Bob and just promote himself but he believes that Arum is his master. Jeez Pac, stop acting like a dog and be a man.

Its funny to see Pac fans settle in to a view from the top. I've heard them mention "marketability, PPV buys, too-green (Berto), casual fans, etc." What you're realizing now is the same thing u all go around hating Floyd for. U claim Floyd ducked Margarito when in reality he was fresh off of ESPN and lost his first HBO headline fight to Paul Williams. U all claim he ducked Cotto when he even wasn't at 147 yet and getting dropped by Torres at 140. When Floyd make business decisions in the ring, its an all out blitz on why he should fight everyone regardless of their "marketability, PPV draw, etc." Now Arum is giving u all the game that any real fan already knew. SRL, Roy, Oscar, etc all made business decisions in the ring. Now that Pac is in the penthouse, I hope his fans get a better understanding how this "business" works and bury their childish claims against Floyd and just roll with it. We're just spectators.

He was involved in a fight that did a million buys against Floyd. Is Arum telling us he can't promote Pacquiao-Marquez III? Because I'm sure Golden Boy would love to.
