That's actually not a bad fight at all. People forget that Clottey is a tough matchup for anyone except someone of Pacquiao's level. No one before Manny ever looked good against him and he's a huge welterweight, strong, one of the best chins in Boxing, great defensive fundamentals... just doesn't throw enough sometimes, questionable stamina and would probably be best served to move up to 154.

I'd actually favor Joshua in that matchup though.

Berto doesn't seem interested in fighting pac tho. I think he knows himself that he is still not ready for a guy like pac.

Every time we we whispered that a fighters is a free agent, it crashes down mainly because of some hidden in plain view clause that they overlooked. We then get to hear about legal challenges etc.

I personally cannot see Dibella getting Berto all these easy freebie fights, making good money, and not slipping in a contract extension along the way.

clottey is a top 5 welterweight.

              he's tough for anyone.

              ask cotto.

pac-clottey was lame because of how clottey fought but clottey is still a top fighter.

Yes u are right, but when was the last time a fighter broke away from Al Haymon? Al Haymon gets his fighter TV dates and they fall apart, 2 Pauls credit Martinez may just be a better Middleweight. Berto needs that Cotto v Torres type of fight. Maybe Berto v Bradley/Alexander winner. May not be the best fight for Cotto but Cotto vs Berto could be huge. That fight in Miami would have the entire Carribean region locked up!!!

Hope your Thanksgiving was nice!! We are in Seattle tomorrow(international Dist. so I thought the Starbucks on 23rd and Jackson would be a nice place to meet unless u have another place in mind. *My samples were delivered

That's one way of attracting Arum and give him a chance to fight Top Rank's Cash Cow - Money Pacquiao!

Following his stellar first-round destruction of Freddy Hernandez, undefeated WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto is a promotional and managerial free agent, according to a source close to the athlete. Boxing talk has been further advised that Berto plans on entertaining offers on both fronts immediately. Berto promoter Lou DiBella was unavailable for immediate comment.
if true, he should definitely try for Top Rank, but he's gonna have to dump Al Haymon... Arum hates that guy.
