I don't even think Mosley has a puncher's chance truthfully. Pacquiao can take a hell of a punch, so I don't think Pacquiao given the same circumstances as Floyd in round 2 of their fight would crumble and get KO'd. IMO, I think he'd actually exchange with Mosley immediately after wards and have his way with Mosley.

I think Manny stops Shane for the 1st time in his career. Mosley looked dead tired towards the end of the Mayweather fight, and Floyd wasn't even bringing the fiight to Mosley as Pacquiao would be based on his style. The reality is, Mosley hasn't had a good outing since January of 2009 and nothing since then shows me he'd have a good outing or a win over Pacquiao.

the young mosley was fast and durable and relentless. but at this stage of his career and against a dynamo of a fighter, i think all he got is a puncher's chance and thats only in the first 3rounds. he can't match pac's stamina the full 3mins of EVERY round. if he gassed out against mayweather who potshot and countered only, what more against pac.

Shane gassed after 3-4 rounds in each of his last 2 fights and looked everyday of his age. I'm a big Pacquiao fan, but this fight is a foregone conclusion. Complete waste of time.

At this point, I'd rather Arum court Berto, who's a free agent, sign him to Top Rank and make a big deal about it in the media to attract attention and then use the next few months to hype him up and build his profile in the media. He could even use the race angle to bring in a demographic that usually doesn't buy Pacquiao fights in large numbers (Mark Taffet mentioned that the African-American demographic buying PPVs, especially in the midwest and East Coast, skyrockets when Floyd fights but is much lower when Manny does). Sell Berto as the 'Great Black Hope'- a young, strong, fast, undefeated champion... the 'slick' Black fighter who Pac has supposedly feared and avoided his entire career. Manny will bring in the usual demographics he does, but fighting Berto and good marketing will open up the Black demographic despite Andre not being a draw on his own.

I disagree. Manny absolutely makes his opponents think. When a guy can move and throw like Manny, you have to think about what you're doing otherwise you'll be eating punches.

And Mosley can't help but tense up and overthink.

He has a shot inside 5 rounds...then he gets tired. He has the speed and power to do it inside 5 rounds though.

Seriously...what fights did you all see Mosley run out of gas in? Don't mention the Cotto or Floyd fights either since he didn't gas...He just didn't know what the **** to do.

Mosley used to be a really good boxer to go along with his ability to brawl, but most of that is gone, he has basically been reduced down to big shots and nothing else. He would spend the whole fight, however long it lasted, tense and confused as Pac moved and threw. It's possible he wouldn't even do as well as Margarito did because Mosley is smaller and doesn't apply that nonstop pressure that made Pac uncomfortable in spots. He also doesn't throw half as often as Margarito did.

You're also severely underrating Pac's defensive skills, like most people. He may get hit, but 9 times out of 10 he is landing three punches at least for every one landed on him. When Pac is moving, it's hard to find him and hit him clean, especially when he's throwing.

The only chance Mosley would have is that perfect shot.

this is a very good post

manny's the best offensive fighter on the planet
of course he's gonna get hit more than floyd mayweather

i dont know if he'd throw massive amounts of punches against shane unless he starts to cover up

as others have said, shane is oldschool and freakishly strong
he would have no problem exchanging with manny early if manny was willing to go that rout
(his fight with cotto were some of the most brutish exchanges of pure power shots i've ever seen live [on the tele] and shane barely blinked. he is FREAKISHLY strong, a one in ten million athlete.)

i think manny would be moving all night (simmilar to the way he weathered the storm after the midpoint in the margarito fight when marg hurt him)

shane looked god awful against sergio mora. hell, he even got hit clean and looked bothered [by no means hurt or ready to go, but frustrated] by mora who is a dismal puncher and very weak middleweight.
can you imagine what it's going to look like when manny pacquiao gives him a boxing lesson?

once again there will be excitement because of the size of his opponent
                  and shane's power
                  and name

but my money would be on manny making him look ordinary late in the fight
                  Pacquiao UD 12

pacquiao wouldnt touch a prime mosley with a ten foot pole
wouldnt even go to the same state
