Wait, so people are counting out Mosley because of his last two fights against defensive minded boxers (one arguably an ATG and the other a natural Middleweight)? I've got news for everybody: Pacquiao gets hit. Alot. Not good news when you are facing the fastest, strongest, and hardest hitting opponent of your career, who also happens to have an iron chin. Shane's old, but what's new? He still can knock anybody the **** out with whichever hand he chooses. I'm glad people believe in Pacquiao so much, but if you haven't noticed, Freddie Roach does not want this fight. I'm not saying Shane will win, but I'm saying alot of you will be left looking ****** for counting him out completely.

Exactly! Mosley can catch Pac with something big. Not just that who the hell has KO'd Shane? This will be a good fight. Mosley would have no problem exchanging with Pac.

I been following Mosley forever as a boxing fan. He is the real deal, i just don't know where all these fuckin haters came from.

I hope Mosley/Pac is next. It will be fireworks. Don't miss this fight, it is going to be hugely competitive. Pac COULD get knocked the **** out --- Don't coun't Mosley out, it could happen--- it's unlikely, but it could happen. This fight will be a slugfest-which is a Shane Mosley kind of fight.

I also have been following Mosley for a minute. **** I remember when everyone was on his nuts. Now cause he looses against the best defensive fighter in the world, and doesn't do so well against Mora he's a bum. Come on!!! Everyone here knows I am a big Cotto fan but before the Mosley/Cotto fight I thought Mosley would win.

I will most likely get a lot of flack for this, but I'm going to say it. I'm not sure why Mosley is being written off so quickly. One part of his game that's not being talked about against Pac is his affinity for clinching. I believe that if he can let out a short burst of quick and powerful punches and then clinch Pacquiao, any sort of evasive movement or countering will be very difficult for Pac. Mosley is a very strong welterweight and if he can constantly put his weight on Pac, Pac may have a greater chance of tiring.

To add, Pac, no matter what Roach instructs him to do, will want to stand and trade. He'll go into this fight wanting to test his fortitude against Mosley's power and I believe this may be problematic for him. Even at this point in his career, Mosley will have the greatest hand speed of any of Pac's recent opponents.

Mosley also beat Margarito quicker than Pac did and even sustaining zero damage in the process. I believe reports stated that Pac had bruised ribs after the Margarito fight. This fact alone serves for great pre-fight build-up!

I agree with everything said. As for getting flack for expressing your honest opinion...don't worry about the e-thugs. The clinch tactic that he used against Marg would def help Mosley out if this fight goes through. He would be able to clinch and hit Pac with some huge shots. Yes Mosley might be old, but as you saw against Marg he is very strong. Also as you mentioned, Pac will always want to stand a trade...that is he's biggest weakness. Great post!

That's your opinion but I think if his camp focuses on conditioning for the fight he will do better than you all think. He could work on his timing and conditioning. I believe he already has fast enough hands to connect when he wants (I mean Marg hit Pac!!!) and he also has the strength to cause damage.

Maybe one or two rounds may be interesting, but after that, the years of taking PEDS would take its toll and mosley would then lose steam, very quickly.

It would be ANOTHER one-sided fight wherein Pac would win by either UD or TKO.

Just curious...in what fights have you seen SSM gas out? Also in what fight has Mosley been KO'd or TKO'd?

No he had a horrible night against Floyd as well. He landed those big punches in round 2 and then started breathing heavily. Didn't do **** the rest of the fight. Then in the Mora fight he couldn't let the punches go either. You know how old Shane Mosley is when he can't even let the punches go near the ropes. The man is a grandpa now. Even if he lands a couple of good punches in the first few rounds, we know Pac has a good chin. Mosley probably gets stopped for the first time in his life

The probability, is that this WILL end up being a Pac MD 12. Score cards will be:

115-113 Pac
116-112 Pac
114-114 draw

After the scores are anounced, Floyd will cry and whine how he had a more solid win over Mosley. He will now demand OST + 51% of the fight to Guarantee he "kills the fight".

.... Mean while Floyd will secretly be applauding himself for finding another way of keeping his "PAPER undefeated record"..safe for good.

Floyd then Retires on the premise, since he beat Mosley better than Pac, he doesn't need to fight Pac to prove anything to the boxing fans....
