    Froch/Abraham Round 12

Round 12 was probably the only round in the fight that Abraham won clearly.

If you notice in round 12, with about literally 10 seconds left in fight.

Abraham lands probably his best punch in the fight, a right hand, which seems to slightly buckle Froch's legs.

My question is: Why didnt Abraham look for that punch earlier? Cuz perhaps a few of those right hands and Froch would have been dropped.

Abraham DID land a very nice right hand, and it hurt Froch, it buckles his legs. With about 10 seconds left in the fight.

But Jesus, why did Abra wait so long to land it?

I hate to say it but I think its a confidence/mental/emotional issue for Abraham.

At the end of round 12,

Carl Froch is buckled by a right hand.

Abra clearly hurt Froch and had the power to do so.

      I agree with the bold.

Look at the start of the fight. He does his wild jump as if someone shouted "NOW!". But he was in a trance before and after that jump. Like he was thinking about something else, or had something better to do.

froch was a bit tired and open a lot more than usual which is why abraham landed it, he couldnt land it before because froch was very disciplined and used his jab and the stright right and hook to keep him off

          Actually to my mind,

Abraham didnt land the right hand earlier, cuz he didnt throw it enough, and with enough passion.

Abraham was just flat, and seemed like he didnt even try or want to win the fight.

Dont wanna take anything away from Carl Froch

But Abraham just seemed distracted all night.

I'm dumbfounded, but I suspect Abraham genuinely lacks the sense of urgency. He's a procrastinator, leaving it all for the last round. And as a schoolboy learns one day that his teacher will not accept the late assignment, Abraham has also received the lesson in his last two fights. Unfortunately, unlike the schoolboy, I am afraid Abraham has not learned from it.

Froch fought a clever fight, kept the distance, interrupted him with his long jab and nailed him with body punches, slowed him down with left hooks to the liver, countering him with his left cross.

Froch is a very tough and expericned 168 pounder and very underrated. a great champion.

              styles makes fights

              also Froch is not featherfisted

Abraham does the same thing in every fight, the difference was he didnt have Jermaine Taylor in front of him who was going to fall apart in the championship rounds.

Abraham does not have a great deal of options against a guy who has good endurance and a chin.

Well I think first of all the 12th wasn't an absolutely clear round for Abraham (though he won it on my card), secondly I think that if Abraham had looked for that punch from the first round he may have dropped Froch but I don't think he'd have managed to stop him and he would be leaving himself open. Froch is a fairly big puncher and a much bigger guy than Abraham so Arthur Und Ick Bon can't afford to be hit a lot.

What Abraham motives were to beat Froch I will never know. Froch done as he pleased in there basically, as Abraham had no answer for each and every round. It was a bad performance by Abraham, he really needs to step his game up against Ward but I have a feeling he might just turn up and Ward might be on the end of it.
