He's been one of my favorite fighters of recent times. I didn't even know he fought this weekend and it's sad to see that he lost to someone of that caliber. Crazy how quickly he seemed to have deteriorated. I noticed even in the Funeka fight he seemed to have lost a step which was right after the Diaz fight where he looked brilliant.

If you go to his facebook and ask for advise, that is what he'd tell not to do.

        Cheers to that.

Nate was a good guy to me. Thanks for the autos and the memorable performances in the ring. As I hope for RJJ, I hope you have a prosperous career in the business outside of the ring. Good luck.

Thanks for all the race cards you did play and the funny KO against Peden.

Another slick african-american boxer fading away...How come Marquez never entertain the idea of fighting Nate Campbell? they are both Lightweight!

Not to; about. I suspect most of these gentleman wouldn't utter a harsh word if little Nate was in their presence.

Campbell got a late start in boxing, turning pro near his 28th birthday in 2000, but shocked the boxing world in 2008 by dethroning the then undefeated Juan "Baby Bull" Diaz in a bullring in CanCun, Mexico to win the IBF, WBO, and WBA lightweight titles. Campbell's then promoter Don King's inability to land a meaningful fight following the Diaz upset led to a year layoff and an eventual move to the jr. welterweight division where Campbell had a no contest with world champion Timothy Bradley and a decision loss to "vicious" Victor Ortiz. The always colorful Campbell released the following statement after Saturday's loss to Estrada:

A warrior! That fight with Diaz was incredible.

Didn't even know he fought and lost, he gave us some memorable fights and this is the perfect time for him to hang them up.

Props to Nate for a pretty damn decent career! I was and will remain a big fan of the Galaxxy Warrior. I just wish he would've hung them up before being humiliated by Walter Estrada. Whatever though, I hope good things lie ahead for him.
