shame nate was never able to capitalize on the big diaz win ... nate was one of the few fighters with an actual personality and that will be sorely missed. wish him the best in all his future plans.

You are still very much needed in this sport Nate!!! You were always a very smart fighter and knew how to use the ring well and when to put punches together.. You would make for a great young, talented trainer... Young minds are also needed in the political side of boxing...

Sergio Martinez started late at 19, and Nate started nearly 10 years after that. What he pulled off was just incredible. Serious respect to Nate for giving the sport his all.

Keep your head up nate you accomplished some great things but if I were you I would consider implementing a weight training program, when muscles atrophy that is when a lot of the problems with reflexes begin your body looks smooth and soft I honestly believe that you need to implement resistance exercise to strengthen and develop muscle that has weakened and atrophied, I believe that would make a world of difference, few additions would greatly help, personally I would do that before I packed it in.

Some very classy people in this thread. Let's get this straight you ****s, Nate will be remembered for being a lightweight champion, while you lot will only be remembered on this forum for being a bunch of mouthy fanny flaps.

much respect nate. shows what hard work and dedication will do for you and not listening to haters and negative people. if everyone who accomplished something great in their lives listen to the haters and negative nothing would ever get done.
