Aside from fighting a much more disciplined fight and making better use of his advantages, Froch looked altogether quicker and fitter in the Abraham fight than he did in the Kessler fight, a fight that I felt he edged, but that all serious boxing fans would agree was at least close. A better prepared and better disciplined Froch could certainly beat Kessler in a rematch, although I'd expect it to be close once again.
As Kessler himself said the fact that Froch just finished a fight with AA might have something to do with his statement. Knowing Froch it might also have been said tongue-in-cheek.

Look at it from another perspective: If Kessler didn't have the eye problem he wouldn't have been hit so much, so maybe it would be an Andrade-like schooling next time.

I think Froch would take this in a rematch, he wouldn't get into a war like last time. That said... the war wast time out was epic.

Kessler beat Froch in their first fight it was competitive but clear.

I don't see a rematch going any other way. Kessler is too great technically for Froch, he can match Froch on the inside and beat him with sheer boxing ability.

I'd rather Kessler rematch Ward on neutral ground or fight Bute or Dirrell.

Good too hear that Kessler is hungry to fight again. I know there will be a rematch down the line and Kessler will beat his ass again. As for Ward good luck trying to get to him fight out of Oakland.

Well Ward is a bad style matchup, but the facts are that due to the headbutts Kessler couldn't see as early as the fourth round where he told his corner. So a neutral referee would make the fight much more interesting.

why wouldn't froch want a rematch with kessler?

maybe not in germany or denmark. the rematch would probably have to be in the UK.

Yeah and I'm sure Kessler would have little problem in travelling to Nottingham TBH.

Froch retired Kessler and he knows it.
