Wow...isn't this Ariza's area as far as weight and condition is concern....why is Arum shooting off his mouth. I take Ariza's perspective on this and Ariza said Manny can make 140 easily.

Were you this concerned about Marquez in his fight with your idol?
Why bother responding to these clowns who don't even know how to watch boxing?
A casual fan would do better.

I know what you mean....
Could you believe that in this thread I'm still reading Floyd fans think that Manny doesn't want to fight Floyd. Imagine, Floyd is on another one of his long vacations and it's Manny's fault ....
Simple.. If Pee-drinker doesn't want to fight Pacman at 147, let him retire. Mosley or Berto will give a good show with Pacman at 147.
It's not like you're going to be thrown in a den full of lions ready to devour your sweet azz. You're given ample time to prepare and train for the fight.
Nah. I don't even give a rat's azz about this ****** discussions about catchweights. They've been part of boxing since time immemorial. Cotto and Marg were in their perfect physical element when they were fed to the Pacman.
I'd savor every minute in a Pac fight from undercard and ceremonies to the main event. A normal, breathing person would detect abnormalities in a fight. You'd detect if the fight is fair and competitive. The conclusion has always been it's Pac's boxing skill that made a huge difference.
Bottom line is, some clowns just don't know how to watch boxing.
****** people resort to name calling and childish acts when they run out of things to say. Bring in your man to fight pac at 147 and tell him not to be scared by asking for a catchweight!!!
After Shane beat Margarito (effectively being the #1WW) in 09, Pacquuiao had just retired De La hoya and was on his way to arranging a fight @ 140 against Hatton. He then fought Cotto in Nov of the same year (yes the same Cotto who beat Mosley). And when that concluded, everyone was asking for Pacquiao-Mayweather and Mosley was supposed to fight with Berto. Unfortunately Mayweather threw in a roadblock, So Pacquiao had to face the available WW at the time and it just so happened it was Clottey who then everyone knew was heavy handed, durable and had very good defense and some even called im dangerous.
So now, should Pacquiao fight Mosley?? Boxing wise no, because Mosley even at his age is still a good fighter but not as good or great as he was before. Did anyone of you see his fight against Mora?? Nuff said. They are just considering Mosley due to FINANCIAL reasons, he has a better draw and name recall than Berto and Marquez.
I mean really, Pacquiao-Mayweather is the only best fight out there that would benefit both financially and their legacy. Anything outside of that fight is purely for financial reasons. Pacquiao does not have to prove anything to cement his legacy because its already established and solid. Same with Mayweather (but I do believe he has to beat Pacquiao first).
So is it fair to demand 147 for Marquez to fight Pacquiao, of course it is! Pacquiao is on the driver seat, Marquez can't be a b1tch and demand for a catchweight or even a 50/50 split because he does not have the PPV appeal to show for it. I don't doubt his boxing skills, he is a very technically gifted counterpuncher/fighter. But then again this is business as Mayweather poetically dictates to his rabid/loyal fans.
So I say now to the *****'s...where Floyd at??? I hope he answers the calls Top Rank is making (so far he ain't answering) to ge that fight done. WE ALL WANT FOR THAT FIGHT TO HAPPEN!!!
What are you talking about ?
Manny had EVERY OPPORTUNITY to fight Shane before Mayweather did, and he chose not to..... TWICE !!
The reason why Manny is continually fighting Mayweathers leftovers, is because he chooses to.
Manny also had a chance to rematch Marquez, but Mayweather got to him first. Now everybody wants Mayweather to fight Marquez' leftovers
I am not quite sure as to what you mean by your comment. But the past is really not a good idea to dwell on because there are infinite possibilities that could have happened or why things happened the way it did. What matter is now. We all want Mayweather jr. vs Pacquiao fight. But we all know Mayweather is not available. So, let Bob Arum decide who is next because business is his specialty. We all have our own views, but Bob is the expert on this matter. But I am sure the fans have an impact to his decision making as well. Just not sure how much.
There are not " infinite possibilities that could have happened ".
