I can't believe I'm advocating a boycott, but this is a uniquely insulting circumstance and the integrity of this series needs to be preserved - those jerks know that Marquez will fight them at any weight, so the fans are the ones who need to make their objection known loudly.


140 is plenty high enough for Marquez to have to come up to and plenty high enough for Pacquiao to get down to without any discomfort.

As a Pac-fan, I would love noting more then to see Manny really put the icing on the cake by soundly defeating JMM once an for all -- but 147 --no one in the world is going to give him any credit for that win. Further more Juan is not at his best when he climbs up in weight the way Manny is. That being said, if anyone deserves another shot at Manny; it's Juan. Problem is he would not fair to well at any weight above 135.


To make a 3rd fight credible with Manny, he needs to (prove) fight at 140, and beat one of the top 140 pounders in the division. If he can beat someone like Alexander, Bradley, Khan, Ortiz, Kotelnik -- in a fashion that would suggest he can be at his best or close to his best, then i would say go ahead an make it happen -- as of right now -- I would say no fight.

He cant fight at anything over 140 and still tries to put the weight on the guy doesnt have the body mass but thinks he does .

Arum is asking for 147 because he wants Marquez to turn it down. He made Cotto defend his title at a catch weight, but he'll give Pac any advantage he can. Gotta protect the cash cow.

One thing I find interesting is that Manny came into the fight with Margarito at 148. Why bother cutting so far under for the weigh in?

Stop defending him, in this case both men are wrong, but Pacquiao is even worse because he can actually make 140.
