im glad there would be no catch weights, but it should be a 140lbs fight. funny how arum didnt have a problem gettin a catchweight for cotto and margarito! i didnt see arum complaining that those guys would have to watch what they eat.

having said that tho, if this fight is made at 147lbs its not as bad as it sounds for marquez because pacquiao will probably only be 4 or 5 pounds heavier on fight night than he was the last time they fought at 130. its not the same as the mayweather fight because mayweather is physically much bigger than marquez and that wont be the case against pacquiao.

i thought marquez deserved the win in their 2nd fight, but i think pacquiao has further improved since then and will be too much for marquez now.

      warning

What happened to Margarito is just a warning to Mexican boxers. Better
be careful; next time , worst thing could happen. God forbid.

May be smart, actually. I doubt Manny would come in at much more. May as well agree to this fight at "147"

Exactly. Manny will weigh in at 144 but truthfully at 142 before eating his morning breakfast. lol.

They're saying 147 just to see if Marquez would outweigh Manny because that would only make him heavy and slower.

The way Team Pacquaio has conducted themselves over the past year or so is an example of what happens when the boxing media and fans give free reign to a fighter to do whatever he wants without the fear of backlash simply because he's the new chief rival to the fighter they love to hate. As soon as the world started supporting Pac a d his team's stances and reasonings as to why they wouldn't comply with a stricter code of drug testing, it opened the flood gates. And since, we've gotten nothing but one contradicting statement followed by one bull**** fight after another. And Team knows that anything they do, right or wrong, will ultimately be deflected and presented by those with the biggest voice as Floyd Mayweather's fault.

It is silly to make the oh so almighty WBO champ Manny Pacquiao to come down for a catchweight titlefight, but it is perfectly reasonable to make your own fighter, Cotto do the same?

Seriously go **** yourself Bob Arum. And all the gullible fans that don't see through this bull**** can go **** themselves too.
