Sergio will drop to 155 for Cotto.

Sergio offered Manny 154, and he offered Cotto 155.

Manny beat Cotto in a catch-weight fight at 145, against Miguel's wishes.

What does it say about Cotto if he accepts this fight?

And, what would it say about Manny? Especially if he vacates without ever having fought an actual JMW.

Martinez started out at ww. Your ****** if you think hes butes size. Margarito is a physicaly bigger person than sergio. Your a casual fan and obviously dont like Martinez because unlike pacquiao is willing to take on all comers. He got pacquiao shook and dude never even mentioned his name after martinez called him out. I think you should have one of these so you can stop your b!tching and hopefuly you stop posting.

Wow! Sergio Martinez is challenging a much smaller fighter in Cotto. What kind of a "Man" is that?! A Real Challenge shoud be Going up, not down?!

At 160 I wouldn't favor Cotto, at 154/155 I actually would. People make it seem like Sergio is a beast simply because he KO'd, PW. Lets keep things in perspective people, Sergio has a horrible habit of leaning to his right DIRECTLY in line for a Cotto left hook or uppercut, I doubt that will be a good thing for Sergio. Secondly, he drops his hands a lot and Cotto could hit him alive with his jab if Sergio doesn't get that under control. Finally, there isn't a single man out there who has ever outboxed Cotto, they overpower him and I doubt Sergio would be able to do that.

Sure, he was able to bust up PW and Pavlik but both guys simple walk right in. Pavlik simply chases you around the ring while Williams has no mind for defense and leans throws his head while he punches, leaving himself wide open to shots. I don't think Sergio's speed will be an issue for Cotto in this fight as I think Cotto's speed is right on par with Sergio and possibly even his power (@ 154.) At 154/155 I would actually give Cotto the edge in this fight, based simply off Cotto's style AND having Steward in his corner now. Sergio I think is a solid fighter but I see more bad habits with him than I see with Cotto. That being said, Sergio has improved immensely since his first fight with PWill and I'm sure the experience helped. It'd be a close fight but I'd go with Cotto 55/45 Cotto, it wouldn't be an easy fight for either guy and I would actually really like to see it. However, Cotto/Marg II would certainly do FAR FAR FAR better numbers than this fight would and being that they are both Top Rank I'm pretty sure we know whats coming.

He already moved up to middleweight this year to fight to fight bigger guys.

Martinez already said he would do it at 155lb so Cotto gets to keep his belt if he losses too.

This would be a great fight I think Cotto can win but Sergio has the momentum on his side and size advantage. But if Cotto and Steward make a good game plan they could win.
