I agree if this fight doesn't get made I think it will be more Arums fault than Cotto's

Martinez should give up on callin out top rank fighters. Bob already learned his lesson after the pavlick fight.

It would be a very interesting fight, i wouldn't count Cotto out one bit. Doubt it will happen though!

thats the reason a catchweight is there to make a good or even a great fight. Cotto fought once in 154 lbs. A catchweight of 156 lbs would be fair for Miguel Cotto. i want to see the fight.

If Martinez would be too small for 168lb as what debella is saying then Martinez should go down to 154 and fight for Cotto's title....
            this should be interesting

should be a good fight, 160 forget it cotto has no business at that weight( I don't think he has any business at 154 either but diff story.) I could see them doing it at 156. Either way I still have martinez winning.

WTF? Cotto fought the best Welterweights in 2 years time. Judah, Mosley, Margarito, Clottey and Pac. he could have fought Floyd but he retired. this dude is a warrior. has the best resume in a welterweight division probably for the last decade. most underrated in my book.

I'd favor Sir Sex-A-Lot right off the bat but Cotto seems to do well against movers/boxers even if their southpaws. He bulldozed Quintana and Judah and bludgeoned Malignaggi, who's not a southpaw, but is a boxer.
True. However Quintana, Judah and Paulie are not as big and physically strong as Sergio, don't hit with the same power, and probably aren't really as good overall.

I see Sergio hurting Cotto. Too much power. Cotto cannot take sustained punishment anymore, he will crumble.

Anyone who would support Cotto just jumping to 160 and fighting Martinez is a douche.

154, understandable. But 160? You guys are morons. The guy JUST moved up and had his first fight at 154 against a GOOD opponent after fighting 3 wars virtually in a row.

I'm a big a Cotto fan as anyone else here, and was in attendance for the Foreman fight. I'd like to see him have one more high competition fight before jumping into elite competition immediately. Something like a Berto or Cintron.

I don't see Arum putting his top fighters in the ring with other top fighters who are not with Top Rank.
