As a big Arthur Abraham fan, I think he should.

He's been whooped in back to back fights. I don't like this. His only good wins in 168 have been against shot Taylor and shot Miranda.

Abraham obviously needs to go back to 160 or else he'll just become a name opponent in 168 instead of a dangerous, favored to win, opponent like he was at 160.
Abraham seems like the type of guy whod party to much and gets busted for cocain. cocain kills your heart.

He is not THAT tough at 168 Froch was hitting him hard and marking him up badly.. he would visibly push AA back with his jab even if it didn't hit flush.

          Nah, he's a top 6 SMW fighting other top 6 SMW's, that's why he lost a fight (Dirrell wasn't a conclusive 'L').

He needs to make improvements, but he still beats most guys at this weight.

That's because Froch has improved his jab immensely, even since the Kessler fight. And also because he was walking Abe onto it at awkward angles.

If AA wasn't so tough, he wouldn't have been gunning for Froch in the 12th. He wouldn't even have been in the 12th.

              I hope you're right.

But damn, who could he beat at 168?

It's looking tough for him. I think Ward outboxes him. Maybe he can beat Johnson? Maybe he can knock Green out? If Kessler ever comes back, because of their styles, it could be a competitive fight.

He's just got to try and add something to his game, focus on trying to beat Ward and, if that fails, stick around and keep busy at 168 and see what comes his way.

I think it's that or call it a day, man, because I can't see him doing 160 again now.

For all of Froch's bravado and ****iness you can tell he knows he has shortcomings and has continued to work hard to improve his weaknesses even after becoming a world champ.

Most boxers plateau at the point they win a world title, Froch is one guy where you can see him getting better every time he enters the ring.

Lets have it right tho he's fought the two best fighters of his career back to back as well. Coincedence?

Oh he is a tough man don't get me wrong.. i just feel it gets a little overblown (with the Miranda broken jaw thing). Some people on here acted like he couldn't be hurt. I think he can physically be bullied @ 168 by certain fighters though.

The Dirrel loss certainly wasn't that bad though.. i agree, i think it's fair to say that Dirrel was looking for a way out. AA had knocked him down and clearly was pressing hard in the last 2 rounds

I give him little chance vs Ward though.. you never know though AA clearly does have very good power
