Cotto was the one who proposed the 145, he could have said fawk it and fight at 147- He didnt. Stop pulling that bullshiet. He was partially to blame. And as much as I like cotto that still wouldnt have change the outcome. stop being a sour puss

For JMM, As much as I like the fight at 140lbs, that wouldnt be a smart move if they ever consider fighting back fighting at 147 for floyd. Jumping different weight division will take a toll on the player-

im not saying it would have changed the outcome.
were talking about catchweights here. you clearly wasnt following boxing in 2009.

my question to you is, why is freddie roach demanding a full 147lbs limit for a possible bout with JMM??

You're so ******. You listed some of the Floyd potential opponents as well, then when Floyd fights them, you make them look like ATG.

Who is Floyd going to fight? Calderon? Moron.

I'd like to see you post about something that isn't Pacquiao and Mayweather.

We can only speculate as to what their reason is but like I said it wouldnt be smart for someone to jump different weight division if you still considering fighting back at 147 for floyd. They trying to make him comfortable at that weight so nobody can complain about the catchweight.

Are you implying that they are ducking? I am just saying If your the bigger draw why would you sucombed to the other fighter's demand- thats simply illogical. What If pac cant make 140? are you going to tell me he is going to lose that much weight to satisfy the other fighter eventhough he is the bigger draw and have the leverage- fawk no, that in general and not just pac.

My only criticism is that they should state what division they are campaigning instead of fighting differrent divisions- so nobody can b!tch about it. I think thats what they are doing

Even if it's at 147, JMM is not prevented from weighing in at
135 if he wants to! That means no change to his training/dietary
habits leading up to the fight. Manny's own training/dietary
habits are presently geared towards 147 and up --why should
                    he make the changes?

Come fight night, JMM and Pac will weigh between 142 and 146
                    anyway, so WTF's the prob?

JMM's a whiny little fucker, but at least he's earned his payday
versus Pac... unlike HBO's hypejob Berto.

I agree. Besides the weight issue, I think Márquez is more deserving and might put up a better fight than Mosley. I genuinely believe he doesn't want to fight Pacquiao JUST for a payday, I believe he really wants to make the trilogy 1-1-1.

And though initially (last night) I said, "Well, terrific win for Marquez, this was expected. He still gets sparked." The weight issue should be solved first. Asking for 147? Whatever, I still think Pacquiao should go down to 140 (he can probably still make it). If not, make it 142. I don't care.

Because what I realized while thinking about this match-up is that, while Pacquiao's last fights have been at 145, 147, and a little higher, he still ends up weighing 147/148 on FIGHT NIGHT, which is what Márquez ends up weighing more or less on FIGHT NIGHT (145 last night against Katsidis).

It shouldn't be an issue. If anyone's deserving of a Pacquiao fight, it's Márquez, above Mosley (he is DONE), Cotto (fares better than Mosley, but still swell up, cut, and get his stamina sapped), Berto (he MAY offer a better fight than others, but he certainly hasn't fought the opposition to merit this huge fight).

As it stands for Pacquiao's opponents, it's undeniably:

                      1. Floyd Mayweather, Jr. (without a doubt)

                      2. JMM (his only recent losses? 2009 decision loss to Floyd in a weight he wasn't supposed to fight in and a very close split decision loss to Pacquiao in 2008)

                      3. Berto (Berto offers an undefeated record and is not old or shot) He doesn't have a fanbase or known in circles outside of boxing fans, though.

                      4. Mosley (hasn't faced Pacquiao yet, which makes it interesting. The burning question going in: Will Pacquiao be the first fighter to stop Mosley?)

                      5. Cotto rematch (I don't like it. Cotto beat Foreman, but he was still a little red from Foreman's punches and he doesn't even hit hard. I don't care if Steward is in his corner, he loses again)

THERE YOU HAVE IT! I stand by my posts!
