These guys are on two different levels much like Martinez and Margarito are and Floyd during his WW campaign was with Castillo. Yeah they were competitive fights at one time...but that's the key phrase "one time".

imo ur basing that on Pac's fights against walk forward opponents.

Pac hasnt faced a decent boxer since JMM.

Im not so sure pac has improved against a fighter as smart at counter punching as JMM.
I hope he has. Id like to see him win. But i really dont believe we have seen Pac prove that he is better against a boxer now than he was the last time he fought JMM.

JMM isnt big enough to handle Pac's last few opponents, but thats a size/weight issue. Skill wise, he is better than all of them. And if they can agree on a weight, i think JMM is more deserving than Shane of anyone else.

Although, i have to see of Berto fights before i rule him out as a good Pac opponent.

I don't knocked Shane for the Floyd loss because Marquez was dominated worse and Berto as well as Bradley vs Alexander winner wouldn't have done better either.

Mora was a **** fight as well so Shane lost a lot of points in my book.

With that said, I'm looking at this from the perspective of these fighters abilities overall and I have no doubt Shane would put up the most competitive fight.

Manny KO's both Marquez and Berto....but I feel he only UD's Shane due to Shane's iron chin and the fact that he knows how to clinch to slow people down when he is getting overwhelmed. Also he still has power....but in the end Manny beats him decisively.

So even though I don't like it.....Shane gives Manny the most competitive fight so I'm going with him.
I like your analysis and respect your opinion.

But I still think Mosley gets frustrated, outworked, outpunched, and outsped by Pacquiao.

Unless Mosley lands one of his signature punches flush (leaping left hook/straight right atomic bomb...on a SOUTHPAW mind you), he's just getting blown out of the water. I wouldn't be surprised if he Mosley is stopped because he's shown lately that he gasses out towards the last 2 or rounds in a 12 rounder.

I can't knock people for picking Mosley as an opponet, though.

Bradley- as much as I like him and his attitude and work ethic, I'm not completely convinced he can beat Pacquiao (he is one of the best fighters out there at 140, though)

Alexander- Kotelnik made his decision look unconvincing. Unless Alexander improves his defense, he gets smoked. Even Urango was pressuring with so-so success before getting KTFO.

Khan- would be interesting, but seeing as how they're in the same training camp, that won't happen (no matter how successful Khan gets)

Cotto rematch- Cotto's only got a few fights left in him. His prime ended in July when Margarito beat him. As much as I like him, same thing happens. I originally believed Cotto at 154 would've been slightly more competitive, but after seeing Pac taking Margarito's shots and throwing incessantly, Cotto gets worked over and probably stopped again, regardless of who's in his corner.

Berto-Berto hasn't shown anything to warrant a match with Pacquiao. He's undefeated and a welterweight, however. Which is enough to make it intriguing in the minds of casual viewers.

Márquez- I'm with the consensus on this one. Márquez's victories over Katsidis and Juan Díaz's means he is undoubtedly #1 at lightweight. Only guy there is Soto (and I think Márquez beats him). Nevertheless, Márquez struggles anywhere above that weight and has shown to encounter adversity against Díaz in the first fight (2nd round, and Díaz ISN'T a puncher) and against Katsidis (3rd round, Katsidis got desperate and managed to let Márquez slip away). At this point, Márquez on paper has seemed to have done enough to fight Pacquiao, but given his age, his attributes above 135, and the fact that he's dealing with a phenomenal fighter yet again...means that he gets beaten.

EDIT: Giving it some thought, Márquez rehydrates to 145 and Pacquiao rehydrates to 148. On FIGHT NIGHT they should be MORE OR LESS the same, but in the end, I'd put my money on Pacquiao. If Márquez has been chasing Pacquiao for so long, he's really pissed off, and giving it some thought, I'm now wondering whether he really should be considering fighting Pacquiao. I think he should. Pacquiao by decision.

Mayweather- easily the fight everyone wants to see. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. Whatever happens that night, no excuses, pound for pound champion. Should be made in the upcoming year, my hope hasn't faded, but my excitement has.

I would've scoffed at that last night, but now that I've thought about it, I think he should fight Pacquiao and given his win streak and being the one to call Pacquiao out again and again and how he fights with his heart out there...I think he should be Pac's next opponent if Mayweather negotiations collapse again.

          I agree with this 100%

Mosley really doesn't have a chance against Manny and gets blew out the water for reasons you just mentioned. I'm against this fight as well. I just feel he puts up a better fight than Berto...that's all.

            JMM @ 135.

We all know Manny can make that weight. He just has to stop eating for 3.5 people and eat like a normal person.

stop being a hoe, cotto was the one who asked for the 145 and signed it because he believes he can make and beat pacquiao.

cotto didnt ask for the catchweight. roach asked cotto n his team whether they feel they could make 145lbs n they said yes.

this time, roach is demanding that a 3rd fight woth marquez is 147lbs with no catchweight, why?
