Manny tied the PPV record against Margarito. Mayweather could never acheive 1.5 million buys unless Manny's name was attached to it.

The Manny of 2010 is a different man from the prize fighter who once fought the Mexican icon. But a solid promotion would translate to PPV gold once again.

marquez deserves a fight with manny more than anyone else not named floyd mayweather. if he dont fight floyd i want to see him fight marquez. he held his own pretty well and better than manny latest zombie boring opponents. marquez has been fight good and top competition and actually campaigning at a weight class under the normal rules and weight.
his fights are much more exciting than mannys. he proved on 2 occasions he can handle mannys speed and power and hurt and won more rounds than manny has done against him.

let mosley win some fights before he fight manny. let berto fight some A level guys or past champs before he get to the big stage even tho i wont be mad if manny fights berto. hes young hes fast hes strong and more important he dont jsut stand there and let people hit him like manny like to fight.

but id like to see berto fight clotty or someone before the real big stage.

but yeah marquez deserves a fight with manny jsut as much as anyone else.

the Mayweather fight is not going to happen no time soon, so Marquez should be number 1 on the list to get his shot at Pacquiao for many reasons

-he was the last fighter to give manny a competitive fight
-most ppl feel he won the rematch,some say he won both(i think he won the 2nd)
-hes a hall of famer
-the first 2 fights were epic wars, so its plenty to talk about during a buildup
-he will bring a large following which will equal to great ppv buys

Martinez is too big, Mosley has nothing to state his case since his last 2 bouts were horrible performances, berto has no fanbase and hasnt beaten any worthy opponent(i think collazo beat him).

even if they agree to 147, most likely neither of them will actually make weight, Pacquiao was 144 and won the 154lb belt vs Margarito.

but the best weight for this trilogy is 140lb.
