De La Hoya wanted the fight at 147. The fight wasn't sellable with Pacquiao going from 135 to 150 for a fight. Pacquiao called no shots in those negotiations.

while i believe manny can still make 140, you're misinformed that it was roach who wanted hoya at 147. it's the other way around.

Pac's trackrecoed shows that he and his team have no problem fighting guys coming off loses and lackluster performacnes. I think Katsidis destroying JMM would move JMM to the front of Pac's list.

Roach has said in several interviews that he wasn't gonne let Pacquaio-de la Hoya happen any higher than 147. De la Hoya agreed.
