Does Paul Williams Still Belong in P4P List?

He was #3 and lost to the #4 ranked fighter in the world who he already has a victory over. Resume still includes wins over Quintana, Margarito, Wright, Phillips, Martinez, and Cintron. After Cotto and Margarito were KO'd they were not dropped completely from the list. Can we honestly say there are 10 fighters in the world more talented with better resumes?

Williams and Cintron shouldn't count as a fight unless they have a rematch without anyone falling out of the ring. No way was Williams winning that fight, no matter what the paid off judges had on there score-cards.

I believe taking him off the list takes away from Martinez win. It looks like just another W

Williams also has a loss to Quintana, and should have had a loss in the first Martinez fight. Phillips was old and wasn't highly regarded at the time. The Margarito fight was in 2007, 3 1/2 years ago.

Williams has been overrated on the P4P lists. I thought it was ridiculous that Rafael had him at #3 and the Ring had him at #5.

Williams and Cintron need to have a rematch if Williams decides not to go into retirement. I also had Williams winning against Martinez, I felt like Williams landed more shots piling up rounds while Martinez landed the more effective blows at times. But I feel that if a opponent is hitting you more than you're hitting them, then you should get the round in your favor.

No, it doesn't take anything away from it.

You need to consider HOW Williams lost: by brutal, decisive KO in round 2.

I've never seen a fighter KOed like that in an early round and still remain in the top 10 P4P.

Who did you have ranked ahead of him besides Marquez?

Another cool fight to be made is Williams/Pavlik but I don't know if Pavlik can make 160 anymore and Pavlik might be too big for Williams. Even tho Williams is a tall guy and has a skinny frame I do not think he is a 160 or 168 pounder. Also, after all the **** I heard Williams went through to try to get Pavlik in the ring might throw any possibilities of that fight ever happening.

It doesn't seem right to take a guy that many had at number 3 completely out of the top ten after one fight. He hasn't looked very good lately though, if he doesn't rebound very strongly in his next fight he is gone.

Although, he was only that high to begin with because of the problems he had getting fights, which the media jumped on as big justification for listing him at 3 on the list.
