    Martinez lowest weight is at 154. Pac's highest is 145.

    who has the most disadvantage between the two boxers?
    Pac has already proven that he can go toe-to-toe with a middle-weight. I would definitely prefer Pac/Martinez at 154. Who knows? Maybe roach might convince pac to face Martinez at 160 even.

    It was not long ago that roach himself said Margarito was way too big for Pac, and look where that ended up.

      Pac might even wanna fight sergio at 154. the question is if roach and ariza allow it. as they know more about the consequence.

        Heh... Roach and his weight stipulations...
        Remember how they weight-stipulated Cotto the way they did --
        the difference was so small, it wasn't going to very significantly
        affect Cotto's in-ring performance, and it didn't.

        Still, they WANTED that almost-insignificant difference, and much
        more importantly, they accomplished the objective of messing with
        Cotto's head, and showing Cotto's camp who was in charge.

        You're right that Roach/Ariza (and Koncz/Arum) have last say.
        Pac himself would fight Sergio at 154/155 if people demanded it,
        and if the purse split respected his status and level of risktaking.

        -If the purse split is significantly in Pac's favor (almost certain);
        -If Martínez is indeed staking his MW strap (seems the case);
        -If diBella/Arum can keep negotiations respectful (almost certain);
        -If Mayweather doesn't become available (who knows?)

        then the fight can be made.

        Fightnight 145 lb Manny Pacquiao decisions 168 lb Sergio Martínez,
        but it will probably be Pacquiao's last fight. He'll be damaged goods
        after that, but then he's almost certainly scheduled for retirement
        around that time anyway.

          One guy can eat whatever he wants and train comfortably and the other guy has to stave himself.

          answer is obvious.

          Pac is JMW champ, he should have no intentions of treating a fellow athlete with so much disrespect.

          154 or no fight.

            Manny won't fight him even at 150...I will tell you how this plays out...they wait and hope that JMM looks impressive against Katsidas, if he does then they make that fight at maybe 144 or they go after at OLD Mosley who looked his age his last two fighters or they go after and young inexperienced fighter like Berto who is talented but haven't done much nor has he been in a big fight, so they put him on a big stage and catch him shell shocked...If they can't get the Mayweather fight done...Manny won't fight Martinez, his style gives him to much problem then on top of that you have a guy that can move...WITH A REACH ADVANTAGE that is even more difficult for a shorter fighter to deal with, Reach Advantage is easier to get around against a flat footed fighter but when a guy has the reach advantage and can move that is extremely difficult to deal with

              Sergio would put himself in danger dropping lower than 154 and Pac is not going to put on more weight even if he could Roach-clip would not have it. Regardless if they come to agreeable terms the title should not be on the line.. not at 150 thats outrageous.

              But if the fight were to happen at 154+ Maravilla will stop Pac.
