    How would Floyd beat Pac?

Can Floyd fans explain this to me?

I cannot see Floyd beating Pac, and these are the reasons why.

    1) Countering speed and volume is VERY hard.

I don't see Floyd being able to do this, more likely, when Manny flurries Floyd will block maybe 7/10 shots, but still get hit with 3.

    2) Pac has 12 rounds stamina

He won't tire and allow Floyd to dominate in the late stages

    3) Floyd can no longer match Pac's footspeed

    His legs are going.

    4) Floyd is too inactive

One fight a year, he will not be at 100%, which he needs to be

    5) Floyd doesnt have the power to hurt Pac

Pac does have the power to hurt Floyd though.

Floyd's face will be messed up for the first time since Augustus busted him up back in the day. Let's see how Floyds defense holds up when his eye is closed and he can't see the punches coming.

By waiting until Pac slows down, 2-3 years from now and fighting him past his prime

As a Pacquiao fan, and a guy who has studied Floyd a lot over there years, at this point the thing I'm most concerned with is Floyd's strength.

Dude is 160lbs on fight night now, regardless of what his fans think, and is one of the strongest welterweights.

He is very crafty on the inside and what I feel he might do is use his strength, via clinching and infighting, to disrupt Manny's rhythm and make this a sloppy fight in which Manny can't get off.

I'm sure Roach is aware of this as well, which is why getting the right ref will be key. I say this because the last thing we need is Ward vs Kessler all over again. I got Manny winning this, and the longer Floyd stays inactive, the easier he will make it for Manny when they meet.

Floyds style is defense and not get hit. He doesn't get Punished nor does he have Wars with his opponents. Pac on the other hand goes out to trade, put on a show. His style of fighting won't permit him to last much longer in boxing. Especially him fighting much bigger opponents

If Floyd decides to put his running shoes on, I see him wining a decision

If he engages I see him losing

Floyd may be older and I agree with what you are saying, but I also agree with the other poster. Reason being is that Floyd is older age wise, but Manny is older as far as wear and tear.

Floyd could very well be waiting for those grueling matches like the Cotto, Clottey and Margarito fight (as well as Manny's next opponent) take their toll on Manny.

I don't see his legs keeping him away for 12 rounds at this point...
