I was thinking this might happen, but you know the crowd will be booing and that **** would look disgracefully if Sergio is 20lbs bigger and 3-4 inches taller.....having a little midget like Manny chase him around the ring.

If Manny stops and looks at him, ala Cotto, that **** would be embarrassing for Marvilla. I say this because this is what happened against Cintron, but Martinez was game enough to engage more than what he was doing.

Now I'm not saying fight him face first, but don't stay on the outside 90% of the time firing the jab and right. Atleast puts some combos together and make it a fight......which I have no doubt (due to how pridefully Martinez has become as a fighter) will happen.

If you think Martinez is going to run from Pacquaio you're being delusional. Martinez didn't run from Cintron, Williams or Pavik so why would he run from Pacquiao? That's ridiculous. i garantee you that if pac fights martinez, pac will not fight the way williams did...pac will box smart and will land jabs and quick power combos...it'll be a boxing match more than an all out brawl like williams/martinez II...there'll be a few brawls here and there, but it'll be a boxing match

so let Sergio fight Lucian Bute or any of the super middleweight if he doesnt want any catchweight or fight Manny in 147 lbs. how come Paul Williams was willing to fight Pac in Pac's best weight? how come Mosley was willing to go down even as low as 142 lbs to fight Pac? because those guys are naturally bigger than Manny. i cant wait to hear Sergio to say he is willing to fight Manny in 147 lbs then you know the fight will happen. until then Sergio should fight in a middleweight division or a real competition in 168 lbs. which he wont because his team said he was "too small". what do they think of Pac? you're missing the point. if pacquiao wants to defend a 154 lb. belt, he should fight 154 lbers., not 150 lbers. martinez stated he'd move down to 154, if pacquiao wants to defend that belt.

if 154 is too big, and he wanted the title for show, then he should give up the belt..... there is no 150 lb. division.

as for the people saying margarito was weight drained against pac after having fought one fight as a jr middleweight...after being a lifetime welterweight is being blind to the fact that manny fought delahoya two divsions up (from lightweight) to welterweight...then went back down to jr welterweight his next fight to face hatton...wasnt pac weight drained against hatton? why hasnt anyone mentioned anything about that? if margarito was weight drained for pac, then wasnt pac weight drained for hatton?

Martinez is only 5' 10" so its not that big of a height diff for pac fighting a middleweight. Pac can pick and choose his opponents and Martinez is all wrong for him. He dont have 2 fight him. I'd rather see a firework Berto fight instead of a one sided destruction of Shane Mosley.

Being a PAC fan, I have to say to Martinez , YEP you're supposed too whup and KO Pac.

Armstrong fought for the middleweight title against a lesser opponent than Martinez.

Martinez is a Pound 4 POUND fighter. If he fights Pac, it will be the top two Pound for Pound fighters today.

Both have great skills

Both are game to stay

Both take a great shot

Both can Move great on their feet

BOTH HAVE A KILLER SHOT !

ONE is big the other is NOT.

Martinez is supposed to win by KO, it will not hurt Mannys standing in the ALL TIME GREATS LISTS, it will show he finally met his match.

IF Pac WON that fight, then due to the fact he came up from being Champion at FLYWEIGHT and fought the best Middleweight in the world that is no fluke but pound 4 pound one of the top two ELITE fighters in the WORLD today, then and ONLY then could I say :

the height difference wouldnt be the issue against martinez for pac...it would be the fact that, even with a catchweight at 150, martinez could still weigh between 175 and 180 (the same way margarito was able to weigh-in at 150, then 165 on fite nite), which would mean martinez could be as much as 35 lbs heavier than pac...if thats the case, then i dont see why martinez dont call out the top light heavyweight instead.

but if martinez insist on wanting to fight pac, no catcweight, but a weight stipulation that say martinez cannot weigh over 160 on fight nite...that is still 6 lbs over the weight limit.
